The Director Supply Chain leads and manages logistics activities across multiple global facilities and functions using Lean principles to provide safe, compliant and efficient results. This position within PSLD supply chain is a critical leadership role responsible for driving cross-functional collaboration, aligning supply chain strategies, and fostering high-performance teams. This role requires an individual who can effectively engage with diverse business partners, adapt to evolving organizational demands, and champion innovative thinking to ensure operational excellence.
This role leads a global team located in the US, Grimbergen, and India.
What You Will Do:
Determining and implementing the best logistics plans to improve safety, compliance, quality, and production / distribution.
Developing and implementing strategic initiatives for the supply and demand requirements and opportunities.
Directing the management of regional inventory management services and budget to optimize the flow of materials and products, while delivering high levels of performance.
Interacting with various Senior Vice Presidents, Vice Presidents, and Directors to develop trust-based relationships, resolve critical issues, and ensure operational and network goals are in line with the overall business strategy.
Leading, inspiring, and developing highly effective regional teams to improve results, ensure compliance, and safely deliver business objectives using Lean principles.
Through the leadership team, manage day-to-day activities of inventory administration staff; participating in interviewing, hiring, and training and employee development to develop best team.
Effectively coordinating with manufacturing and procurement to assure optimal inventory levels.
Participating in planning inventory and defining optimal inventory levels and adjustment authority. Monitoring inventory levels all the while balancing the movement between DCs and cost of freight, plus filling the customer needs.
Ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures. Implementing loss prevention procedures and practices.
Analyzes inventory processes and develops new methods and approaches to improve the quality and efficiency of service.
Strategically assessing the IT changes needed for the business for IM functions, order management functions, and record accuracy system changes. This will require analyzing head count needs for testing and assessing SMEs for system function blueprinting. This will also require this leader to work well with their business partners to influence and strategically assess the needs for PSLD with the new functionality for Future of Manufacturing, the new SPM system testing for IM, and the new Order Management system.

IM and OM Management: Knowledge of the policies, processes and systems of various IM and OM systems; ability to effectively manage the system piece of one or more warehouses or distribution centers-
Service Excellence: Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques; ability to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations and provide excellent service in a direct or indirect manner.
Additional Information:
This role requires an in the office 5-day-a-week work schedule in Morton, IL.
This position is eligible for relocation assistance.

Summary Pay Range:
$203,670.00 - $305,510.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
