Job Summary:

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will assist with the technical analysis and improvement of manufacturing processes across production, cost, quality, safety compliance, and environmental requirements. You’ll partner closely with operations to strengthen process reliability, resolve problems, and implement improvements that elevate plant performance.

What You Will Do:

  • Work directly with specific suppliers/facilities on APQP based development of parts into production, in support of NPI, CPI, resourcing and similar efforts.
  • Support and improve manufacturing processes across safety, quality, delivery, and cost by analyzing performance and implementing practical changes on the shop floor.
  • Identify and implement enhancements/modifications to equipment and processes to improve stability, throughput, and quality outcomes.
  • Monitor equipment and process reliability, quickly identifying problem areas and coordinating corrective actions with cross-functional partners.
  • Lead/Support continuous improvement activities (e.g., structured problem solving, Kaizen events, value stream mapping) to eliminate waste and optimize flow.
  • Develop and maintain standard work and process documentation (work instructions, process controls) to enable consistent execution and scalable improvements.
  • Coach and develop operations technical staff and support areas, strengthening capability and sustained process discipline.
  • Provide engineering support for planning, development, operation, and maintenance of equipment, processes, or facilities.

Education requirement:

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher, or demonstrate equivalent knowledge through extensive professional expertise.
  • Experience using common manufacturing tools/systems such as SAP and CAD platforms (e.g., AutoCAD/Creo) to support process planning and documentation.
  • Collaborative automation exposure (cobots/robots) and/or programming familiarity to automate manufacturing tasks.
  • Capital projects involvement and basic knowledge of fixture/design principles to support production readiness and improvements.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (or equivalent continuous improvement certification).
  • Welding knowledge is desired.
  • English skills is a must.

What skills you will have:

  • Manufacturing Engineering fundamentals: ability to apply engineering concepts in a manufacturing environment and obtain/learn additional technical expertise as needed.
  • Lean manufacturing foundation: understanding of lean principles and basic methods to observe processes, identify waste, and support lean implementation.
  • Manufacturing process knowledge: understanding core manufacturing functional areas, process phases, and how to interpret production flow documentation.
  • Structured problem solving: ability to recognize, analyze, escalate appropriately, and support resolution using disciplined methods.
  • Decision making & critical thinking: ability to analyze situations, communicate issues, and use a clear decision process to prioritize actions.

Additional Information:

  • This position will be in Santa Catarina, Nuevo Leon
  • This position is six days a week. We might switch to 12-hour shifts eventually.
  • Requires working weekends, based on business continuity needs.
