Job Summary

As a Parts Operations Consultant , you will provide support for dealer specific product or service development. You will contribute to the Caterpillar and dealer business plan by increasing parts profitability, effective product support capability and efficiency, contributing to dealer parts and service growth and enhancing customer satisfaction. This position supports district office and dealers in achieving parts and service support and distribution capabilities that positively contributes to the sale of new and used Caterpillar parts, service, and products.

Additional Info :

  • This position can be located in Peoria, IL, Dallas, TX, Mexico City or Piracicaba.

  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position. ISE will not be considered.

  • This position will require up to 50% of working time travel, both domestic and international .

What You Will Do:

  • Prioritizes development activities with dealers and accesses resources to support.

  • Ensure adequate capability and capacity are in place at the dealers to deliver services growth.

  • Cultivating and maintaining ongoing customer relationships.

  • Developing in-depth knowledge of organizational products and programs, as well as capabilities of team members within the department.

  • Facilitates creation of the 'right' products and services to resolve customer business issues.

  • Anticipates customer needs, focusing efforts to proactively meet needs and exceed customer expectations.

  • Demonstrates experience engendering collaborative processes that lead to problem solving and the achievement of business goals.

  • Establishes shared goals to foster collaboration.

Consulting: Knowledge of techniques, roles, and responsibilities in providing technical or business guidance to clients, both internal and external; ability to apply consulting knowledge appropriately.

  • Analyzes and fully documents client requirements.

  • Applies experience to developing and executing multiple consulting assignments.

  • Works with client to identify alternative solutions and associated pro's and con's.

  • Prepares proposals and presentations for a consulting opportunity.

Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

What Will Set You Apart (Preferred Skills):

  • Experience working with dealers and/or customers in a parts operations or aftermarket commercial capacity 

  • Experience in warehouse management and or supply chain operations

  • Experience with working on root cause and developing corrective action

  • Experience with using service data and parts and service information

Summary Pay Range:

$110,520.00 - $165,840.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
