We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our Product Support and Logistics Division as a  Robotic Cell Technician in Arvin, CA.

The  Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. Job Summary

• As a Robotic Cell Technician , you will ensure robotic cells are functioning properly while maintaining the accuracy of work.    

Additional Info :

• This role is located in Arvin, CA and does not offer relocation
• This role is 1st shift: Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm with occasional split shift  
• This role is 100% on-site with no opportunity for hybrid or remote schedules
• This role requires up to 10% domestic travel

What You Will Do:

• Serving as focal point for suppliers. Coordinating with suppliers to resolve issues and ensuring performance.
• Reviewing and acting on schedule releases and follow up for on-time shipments. Leading to ensure timely delivery and availability of parts to support customer requirements.
• Actively monitor robotic cells while under operation and perform routine recoveries as needed to maintain uptime targets.  
• Ensure required indirect materials such as film, labels, boxes, etc. are replenished in a timely manner to avoid downtime and ensure consistent performance of Robotic Cells.  
• Support problem solving activities for facility Automation Specialist and AutoStore supervisors. Work to alleviate problem situations or to satisfy critical expediting or ordering problems.  
• Recommends changes in the movement of material and/or areas to assure the proper and timely completion of material distribution systems.  
• Participates in establishing plans for continuous improvement in future automation manufacturing projects and expansion of Robotic Cells.  
• Responsible for metric reporting and tracking.  
• Responsible for Arvin, CA software and hardware maintenance 

What You Have (Required Skills):

• Effective communications skills and the ability to work with all levels of personnel.   
• Manufacturing Application Systems : Knowledge of company and industry databases and applications used in a manufacturing environment; ability to operate, maintain and update these systems.
• Problem Solving : Technical troubleshooting in robotics. Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
  • • Identifies and documents specific problems and resolution alternatives.
    • Examines a specific problem and understands the perspective of each involved stakeholder.
• Accuracy and Attention to Detail : Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.

What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Skills):

• Prior experience with automated picking technology
• IT Certifications
• Prior experience with software knowledge and/or writing code

Summary Pay Range:

$27.08 - $40.62
