Job Summary:
The AWS Integrations Developer will design, build, and maintain cloud‑based integrations using AWS services. This role includes collaborating with business partners to gather requirements, support testing and debugging, and manage production deployments in cloud environments. The developer will help deliver secure, reliable connectivity between internal applications and external partners while upholding platform health, operational resilience, and compliance standards.
Job duties/Responsibilities:
- Develop cloud‑native integrations using AWS services such as API Gateway, Lambda (Python), EventBridge, Step Functions, and other serverless components.
- Design and implement secure, scalable integration patterns on AWS, including RESTful APIs, event‑driven workflows, asynchronous messaging, and partner connectivity.
- Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as AWS CDK, CloudFormation, and Terraform to provision, version, and automate deployment of integration resources.
- Build and manage secure connectivity with internal applications and third‑party services using REST, SOAP, SFTP, MQ, and AWS-native security controls.
- Implement security controls such as mTLS, Microsoft Entra ID token‑based authentication, OAuth/JWT, rate limiting, schema validation, WAF rules, and AWS threat‑protection features.
- Maintain cloud integration platforms by applying patches, performing upgrades, monitoring system health, and optimizing performance.
- Manage certificate lifecycles across environments, including CSRs, imports, renewals, and automated deployment using AWS Certificate Manager, Secrets Manager, and S3 where applicable.
- Automate CI/CD pipelines for integration code and IaC templates to ensure repeatable, compliant deployments.
- Troubleshoot integration issues using logs, traces, CloudWatch metrics, and application monitoring tools to meet SLAs and ensure high availability.
- Document AWS API specifications, integration patterns, and operational runbooks to support consistent implementation and long‑term maintainability.
Education Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent preparation.
- Advanced working English is required to interpret technical documentation and communicate effectively with technical, business, and partner teams.
Required Skill:
Application Design, Architecture
Designs serverless integration solutions using Amazon API Gateway, AWS Lambda with Python, Amazon EventBridge, and AWS Step Functions.
Applies AWS design patterns to API-based, event-driven, and asynchronous integration solutions.
Develops Python components for Lambda functions, automation tooling, and integration logic.
Assesses scalability, security, availability, performance, and maintainability during technical design.
Documents technical components, interfaces, service interactions, and design decisions.
System and Technology Integration
Designs and implements connectivity among internal applications, AWS services, and external partners.
Uses REST, SOAP, SFTP, MQ, API Gateway, EventBridge, and Step Functions according to integration requirements.
Implements secure integration patterns using mTLS, Microsoft Entra ID token-based authentication, OAuth, JWT, rate limiting, and schema validation.
Applies API and threat-protection controls, including AWS WAF rules and AWS-native security capabilities.
Documents interfaces, message flows, integration dependencies, and operational requirements.
Problem Solving
Analyzes logs, traces, metrics, and monitoring data to identify causes of integration and application issues.
Applies structured analysis and escalation practices during time-sensitive or high-pressure situations.
Facilitates technical discussions and communicates impact, status, decisions, and required actions to relevant partners.
Applies incident, problem, and change management processes aligned with ITIL frameworks.
Uses ServiceNow in support of Major Incident Management, issue tracking, and operational follow-up.
Documents root causes, corrective actions, preventive measures, and resolution outcomes.
Implementation and Application Support
Automates environment provisioning and deployment using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
Builds and maintains Git-based workflows and CI/CD automation using GitHub.
Deploys and supports integration code and Infrastructure as Code templates across cloud environments.
Supports mission-critical systems through monitoring, troubleshooting, patching, upgrades, and performance optimization.
Uses ServiceNow for Major Incident Management activities and inbound or outbound integrations.
Maintains deployment documentation, operating procedures, and support runbooks.
Additional Information
The location for this position is Monterrey, MX. Most likely will start remote but will turn to full on-site.
Work schedule is Monday to Friday (7am-4pm).
This position may require up to 10% travel- domestic and international.
