We are seeking a Team Lead who will support daily operations, drive team performance, and foster a culture aligned with Caterpillar's Values in Action.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead, initiate, support, and sustain change as directed

  • Monitor department activities to ensure employees work safely at all times and utilize required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

  • Coordinate and sequence work assignments within the department to ensure smooth workflow and optimum production efficiency

  • Issue daily instructions and work assignments to employees to meet production and build requirements

  • Direct and/or oversee departmental housekeeping and cleanup activities

  • Partner with employees to address nonconformance issues and quality-related concerns

  • Assist with monitoring employee performance and provide input for performance evaluations

  • Support training efforts and help employees learn processes and procedures

  • Uphold Caterpillar's core values of integrity, excellence, teamwork, commitment, and sustainability

What You Will Have:

  • Minimum of six months of accumulated service time in current position to be eligible to bid on this position, unless otherwise stated

  • Successful completion of the CNSP Operations Test

  • Thorough understanding of production processes and operational requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to train, coach, and develop team members

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Proficient computer skills

  • Strong leadership and communication abilities

  • Ability to adapt quickly and learn new processes

  • Proven ability to positively influence and motivate a team through commitment to Caterpillar's Values in Action

What Will Put You Ahead:

  • Previous leadership or team lead experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Experience coordinating production activities and workflow management

  • Strong knowledge of quality processes and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Experience training and mentoring employees

Additional Details:

  • This position is a working Team Lead role and serves as an active member of the production team.

  • The Team Lead is responsible for helping the team achieve safety, quality, productivity, and velocity goals.

  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

Shift:

  • Monday - Thursday (5:00 AM - 3:30 PM) with opportunity to work overtime

Summary Pay Range:

$24.05 - $31.25
