Job Summary
As a Senior Sales Representative, you will drive the development and execution of service solutions for MaK Medium Speed Engines (MSE) across the Marine and Electric Power (EP) segments throughout the Europe, Africa and Middle East (EAME) regions.
Based in Kiel, Germany, you will be responsible for maintaining and growing the installed MaK engine population, supporting customers with innovative aftermarket solutions, and delivering sustainable business growth through strong customer engagement and strategic account management. You will work closely with customers, dealers, service partners, and internal Caterpillar organizations to develop tailored solutions that help customers maximize asset performance and operational efficiency.
What You Will Do
- Manage and develop assigned key accounts within the Marine and Electric Power segments across the EAME region in collaboration with Caterpillar dealers and direct customers.
- Develop and execute growth strategies focused on aftermarket solutions, customer retention, and long-term business development.
- Build, maintain, and strengthen strategic customer relationships to drive customer satisfaction, loyalty, and future business opportunities.
- Take ownership of key account activities, ensuring technical and commercial commitments are met while proactively identifying opportunities for additional business.
- Promote and develop Caterpillar service solutions including parts, upgrades, emissions solutions, REParts, InSitu Services, digital connectivity, and performance optimization offerings.
- Develop a deep understanding of customer operations and market requirements to provide value-based recommendations and consultative sales support.
- Collaborate with customers, dealers, and internal Caterpillar teams to deliver integrated technical and commercial solutions.
- Identify and develop relationships with selected system and service partners to expand Caterpillar's service and solution portfolio beyond traditional engine aftermarket offerings.
- Support strategic initiatives and transformation projects aligned with Caterpillar's MSE business strategy across the EAME region.
- Act as the primary commercial interface for assigned customers while working within a globally connected sales and service organization.

Strong understanding of the Marine and Electric Power industries, including market trends, competitive dynamics, regulations, decarbonization initiatives, and operational challenges.

Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across different cultures and organizational levels.

Proven ability to establish, maintain, and grow long-term customer and partner relationships.

Experience identifying growth opportunities, developing account strategies, and driving profitable business expansion.

Ability to articulate the business value of Caterpillar products, services, and digital solutions while differentiating our offerings from competitors.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marine Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Several years of experience in sales, account management, aftermarket services, or business development within the Marine, Power Generation, or related industrial sectors.
- Strong understanding of medium-speed engine applications and aftermarket business models.
- Experience working across international markets and multicultural environments.
- Fluent in English; German language skills are highly desirable. Additional European languages are considered an advantage.
