About the Role:

The Senior Accountant is responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial records, timely financial reporting, and compliance across complex, multi-currency operations. This role provides ownership of key accounting processes, including account reconciliations, financial statement preparation, month-end and quarter-end close activities, audit support, and resolution of complex accounting matters.

Operating with limited supervision, the Senior Accountant applies strong technical accounting knowledge, professional judgment, and business acumen to identify risks, resolve issues, and deliver accurate, decision-ready financial information. This position also serves as a key partner to cross-functional stakeholders and plays an active role in driving process improvements, strengthening internal controls, and supporting finance transformation initiatives.

What You Will Do:

  • Maintain financial records in accordance with U.S. GAAP, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

  • Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results.

  • Lead balance sheet and profit and loss reconciliations, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timely resolution of reconciling items.

  • Prepare internal financial statements and supporting schedules for management review.

  • Coordinate and execute month-end and quarter-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

  • Process, review, and analyze complex accounting transactions within Oracle and related systems.

  • Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies, aged balances, and unusual transactions.

  • Support statutory, tax, internal, and external audit requirements, including preparation of documentation and responses to audit inquiries.

  • Develop and enhance automated reporting and analytical tools to improve efficiency, accuracy, and visibility of financial results.

  • Provide accounting guidance and financial insights to business partners and stakeholders.

  • Identify risks, recommend corrective actions, and support the implementation of strong internal controls.

  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement and transformation projects focused on accounting processes, reporting, and governance.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Advanced English

  • Accounting Expertise

  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.

  • Expertise managing month-end close and account reconciliation processes.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting

  • Applies U.S. GAAP principles to complex accounting transactions and reporting requirements.

  • Ensures compliance with company policies, internal controls, and applicable regulatory standards.

  • Supports accurate, timely, and transparent financial reporting.

Continuous Improvement

  • Challenges existing processes and identifies opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and control effectiveness.

  • Supports automation, standardization, and digital transformation initiatives within Finance.

  • Promotes best practices and operational excellence across accounting activities.

Top Candidates also have:

  • Expertise in the financial services industry.

  • Strong understanding of lease accounting, loan accounting, financial products, multi-currency accounting environments, financial statement preparation and analysis and audit coordination and compliance requirements.

  • Working knowledge of IFRS.

  • Expert in Oracle, Salesforce, Power BI, and similar financial reporting and analytics tools.

  • CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification.

  • Expertise leading process improvement or finance transformation initiatives.

Additional Information

  • Location: Corporativo Vía Cordillera, Santa Catarina, Nuevo León

  • Work Model: Five days per week in-office;

  • Travel: Up to 10% of domestic and/or international travel

  • Requirements: Active passport and valid U.S. visa
