As a Quality Engineer at SPM Oil & Gas, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS). This role is critical in maintaining our API Q1 10th Edition certification and supporting our commitment to delivering zero-defect products. The Quality Engineer is also responsible for reviewing customer quality requirements prior to the execution of manufacturing and operational processes to ensure compliance with applicable specifications and standards.

As the Supplier Quality Engineer, you will:

1. Quality Management System

· Developing and implementing the Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with standards API Q1 and ISO 9001

· Documenting procedures, work instructions, and quality records.

· Coordinating internal audits to ensure compliance with the QMS and following up the corrective action.

· Liaising with external certification bodies for audits and re-certification.

2. Contract Review Process:

· Reviewing Customer Requirements

· Developing Quality Inspection Test Point

· Participating in Project Kick Off Meeting

3. Specific Customer Concern Response

· As window point by Sales for any concern need to response to customer

4. API Standards & Compliance:

· Ensure all process activities are in full compliance with API Q1 10th Edition and API 6A 21st Edition requirements.

· Stay updated on the latest revisions of API standards and incorporate changes into supplier quality processes.

· Liaising with external certification bodies for audits and re-certification.

5. Collaboration & Communication:

· Work closely with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Project and Procurement, Manufacturing, and Sales to resolve supplier quality issues and support new product introductions.

The successful candidate must bring:

· Proficient in English language.

· A bachelor’s degree in engineering/manufacturing with minimum 3 (tree) years of experience on quality management.

· A Quality Engineer must possess a robust blend of technical quality management expertise (e.g., QMS, quality tools, engineering principles), strong audit skills for systematic supplier evaluation, and crucial interpersonal abilities like communication, problem-solving, and negotiation to ensure supplier compliance and drive continuous improvement.

· A Quality Engineer must excel at systematic problem-solving, employing methodologies like 8D and root cause analysis, alongside strong data analysis and collaborative skills, to effectively identify, resolve, and prevent recurrence of quality issues with suppliers.

The top candidate will also bring:

· Good knowledge of API 6A products and quality requirements.

· Having good knowledge for dimensional inspections an equipment’s needed, Non-Destructive Examination, Hardness Testing, Positive Material Identification, Welding Inspections estc.

· Strong communication, cooperation, and influence skills to work with all levels of employees and customers, especially with leadership management employees.

· Good analysis, diagnostic and judgment skills, and good computer skills.

· Strong motivation and fast learning

Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):

· This job requires extensive active movement throughout the plant including climbing stairs and steps, lifting devices, and pushing and pulling equipment.

You will work both in an office and manufacturing shop-floor environment.

Domestic relocation is not available for this position.
