Caterpillar’s BCP division is hiring for an Engineering Manager in Sanford, NC.
Role Summary: In this role, you will build and execute the strategy for best-in-class performance and integration across CTL/SSL/CUL products. You will lead engineering teams with an emphasis on controls development, machine performance, systems integration, and software development processes while ensuring projects, initiatives, and processes align with established policies and business objectives.
What You’ll Do (Job Duties)
- Lead the CTL/SSL/CUL product performance and integration team responsible for machine controls development, software delivery, systems integration, and performance optimization across the product lifecycle.
- Lead the technology MGPP for CTL/SSL/CUL products in line with the advanced technology strategy.
- Apply technical expertise in controls development, machine performance, systems integration, and software development processes to guide engineering decisions and remove technical barriers.
- Lead validation and factory support for machine software.
- Own machine performance quality and customer acceptance from concept through end of lifecycle.
- Manage engineering staff and activities with an emphasis on achieving organizational goals, professional development, and continuous improvement.
- Monitor and continuously improve product and process performance, quality, and cost-effectiveness across engineering activities and deliverables.
Degree Requirement
- Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum.

- Demonstrated ability to lead technology and integration projects by coordinating work across multiple cross-functional teams and influencing outcomes through strong working relationships.
- Proven leadership in developing, integrating, and supporting complex machine or vehicle systems, with system-level ownership of requirements, performance, and functional interactions.
- Experience leading hands-on tuning and validation of machine or vehicle systems in real-world applications to deliver functionality and performance that meet customer and product requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to respond quickly to quality or customer acceptance issues in the field, guiding teams toward effective resolution while maintaining customer confidence.
- Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum, or equivalent industry experience.

Summary Pay Range:
$159,120.00 - $238,680.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
