About the Role:

Caterpillar’s Digital, Technology & Distribution (DTD) segment is looking for a Talent Acquisition Partner – Students & Graduates to support hiring for our commercial student & graduate programs with a focus on leading hiring for entry-level and internship commercial functional positions across Caterpillar segments in Europe, Middle East, & Africa (EAME) and Asia Pacific. The commercial function encompasses Marketing, Sales, and Product Support roles within Caterpillar including for the Field Rep Development Program (internally known as the MTC). This person will also promote and support Caterpillar’s recruitment brand at schools and various community events with a focus on partnering with the commercial talent management organization and our Student & Graduate internship program manager for regional program execution focused on converting talent into our full-time programs and roles throughout Caterpillar. With a focus on strong university relationships, intern conversions & best in class programs, you will strategically build the future talent for the commercial function at Caterpillar.

What You Will Do:

  • Manage recruitment cycle from hello to hire by executing hiring for functional student and graduate talent roles based on yearly allocations including recruiting, interviewing, making offers, onboarding, and communicating orientation and start date plans for new employees.

  • Partner and consult with hiring managers regarding recruiting strategies and practices that support the goals and direction of the organization, leveraging data to drive decision-making. Directly and indirectly execute the regional functional recruitment strategy.

  • Join forces with fellow Students & Graduates Recruiters for best-in-class agile talent strategy (including university relations) & engagement plan to ensure white glove recruitment of the right talent for our commercial student & graduate positions now and in the future.

  • Execute, in partnership with broader global talent team, the regional commercial internship &/or graduate program(s) to continue to best meet the needs of the business.

  • Review trend analysis and utilize data for continuous program & recruitment improvement.

  • Utilize the applicant tracking system (ATS), Candidate Relationship Management (CRM) tools and industry-leading sourcing technologies to deliver the most qualified candidates for current roles and building strong candidate pipelines for future roles.

  • Contribute towards broader recruiting team projects.

What You Have (Skills):

  • Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.

  • Customer/Market Focus: Understanding of the importance of remaining aware of shifting market priorities and ability to respond to internal and external customer needs in a manner that consistently adds value. Talent Acquisition experience in energy, utilities, power or automotive preferred.

  • Candidate Screening: Knowledge of techniques, methods and processes of candidate screening; ability to preselect suitable candidates for first and further interviews within the organization.

  • Staffing and Recruiting: Knowledge of standards, processes, techniques and methods used in staffing and recruiting; ability to identify, select, retain and relocate qualified personnel, both internally and externally, for a wide range of positions.

  • Workforce Analytics: Knowledge of human resources (HR) and workforce issues and trends; ability to analyze workforce data, information and metrics and apply the results to support business decisions.

  • Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.

Top candidates will also have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent working experience.

  • Experience recruiting, especially with students & graduates’ talent.

  • Knowledge or experience with Marketing, Sales and Product Support programs or other student & graduate programs.

  • Experience finding common ground and reaching mutually beneficial agreements while communicating to internal and external customers at various levels in the organization.

  • Desire to be seen as a SME for commercial students & graduates while driving innovative strategic solutions for hiring talent.

  • Previous experience driving intern conversions as a best practice pipeline for full-time entry-level positions.

  • Experience collaborating and communicating across the complex matrix organizations for the betterment of the company to drive Caterpillar as an employer of choice for students & graduates.

  • Knowledge of Organization: Knowledge of the organization's vision, structure, culture, philosophy, operating principles, values, and code of ethics; ability to understand the value of aligning capabilities with business goals to support optimal performance.

  • Experience identifying problems, analyzing information, and implementing solutions.

  • Familiarity in Workday- specifically as a recruiter.

  • Experience adapting to changing circumstances and working effectively in a dynamic environment.

  • Comfortable working without direct supervision.

  • Strong judgment and creative problem-solving skills.

Additional Information:

  • A valid Swiss work permit or EU 25/EFTA citizenship is required.

  • Relocation is not offered.

  • Travel up to 30% internationally.

This position requires working onsite five days a week.
