We are seeking a strategic and results-oriented Marketing Communications Consultant to lead the development and execution of integrated marketing strategies for Building Construction Products (BCP) at Caterpillar, Inc.
This role is responsible for driving impactful, data-informed marketing initiatives across Australia and New Zealand, strengthening brand positioning, and delivering measurable business outcomes.
The successful candidate will partner cross-functionally with internal stakeholders, regional dealer networks, and external agencies to design and implement cohesive campaigns that support commercial objectives, enhance customer engagement, and contribute to overall market growth.
Job Duties
Lead the development and execution of the regional marketing strategy and associated initiatives across Australia and New Zealand.
Leverage expertise across marketing tactics, channel strategy, analytics, branding, and lead generation to drive measurable business outcomes.
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, regional dealer marketing and sales teams, and external agencies to deliver integrated, multi-channel campaigns.
Develop, manage, and optimise the overarching marketing strategy and associated budget to ensure maximum return on investment.
Translate strategic priorities into actionable tactical plans, ensuring effective and timely execution across all channels.
Oversee the creative development and delivery of digital marketing and sales campaigns across the product portfolio.
Provide strategic marketing communications guidance to internal teams, agencies, and external partners to ensure alignment with brand standards and business objectives.
Lead regional marketing projects and partner with senior leadership to achieve divisional goals.
Monitor project delivery to ensure compliance with corporate brand standards, governance requirements, and relevant regulations.
Stay informed on industry trends, customer engagement practices, and evolving market dynamics to maintain a competitive advantage.
Background/Experience Required
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related discipline.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate across diverse stakeholder groups.
Excellent written and presentation skills, with proven experience developing and delivering effective communication strategies.
Working knowledge of the construction or heavy equipment industry
Demonstrated expertise in marketing communications strategy development and execution.
Technical & Functional Skills
Advanced data literacy, including experience with marketing analytics, attribution modelling, and A/B testing to support data-driven decision-making and continuous optimisation.
Proficiency in analytics and reporting tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Power BI) to monitor performance and generate actionable insights.
Experience with core marketing technology platforms, including CRM systems, Content Management Systems (e.g., Adobe Experience Manager), and Digital Asset Management tools.
Strong understanding of the end-to-end customer journey, with the ability to connect digital marketing activities (search, web, social, CRM) to pipeline growth and sales outcomes.
