Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Senior IT Analyst Applications ERP LN Consultant – Projects & Contract Management) to join our CAT IT team

The ERP LN Consultant – Projects & Contract Management supports global project-based operations by designing, configuring, implementing, and sustaining Infor LN Project Management capabilities. This role works closely with Project Management, Business Management, Finance, Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Service, and IT teams to ensure ERP LN effectively supports project setup, contract management, project costing, revenue recognition, billing, and project execution.

The consultant will bring strong expertise in Infor LN (10.x) to support implementation projects, business process improvements, production support, system enhancements, and global ERP transformation initiatives.

The preference for this role is to be based out of Whitefield PSN Office, Bangalore, India

What you will do

1. Project Management Process Design & Optimization

• Analyze and optimize project management processes including Main Projects, Sub-Projects, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Contracts, Contract Lines, Costing, Billing, and Revenue Recognition.
• Configure project structures, financial controls, and execution workflows to support complex project-based operations.
• Align ERP LN solutions with business requirements across Sales, Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Service organizations.

2. LN Configuration, Testing & Deployment

• Configure and maintain ERP LN Project Management, Contract Management, and Project Financial modules.
• Perform root-cause analysis for project setup, contract, billing, costing, and financial reporting issues.
• Lead functional design, testing, deployment, user acceptance testing, and go-live support activities.
• Support ERP upgrades, enhancements, and process standardization initiatives.

3. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with Project Managers, Commercial Project Managers, Coordinators, Finance teams, Shared Services, Tax, and IT stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Business Process Leads, Product Owners, and Solution Architects to translate business requirements into scalable ERP solutions.
• Support project master data governance, contract structures, financial attributes, and reporting standards.

4. Integration & End-to-End Process Support

• Support integrations between ERP LN and enterprise systems such as Salesforce, finance platforms, tax solutions, and middleware services.
• Ensure project transactions correctly drive downstream processes including procurement, manufacturing, invoicing, revenue recognition, and financial reporting.
• Assist in resolving integration and data synchronization issues across systems.

5. Documentation, Training & User Enablement

• Develop functional specifications, process documentation, work instructions, and training materials.
• Conduct training sessions and knowledge-transfer activities for business users and support teams.
• Promote best practices and drive user adoption of ERP LN project capabilities.

6. Production Support & Continuous Improvement

• Provide ongoing support for project setup, contract management, billing, costing, and reporting processes.
• Identify process gaps and recommend scalable solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Partner with business and IT teams to improve process efficiency, data quality, system performance, and user experience.

What you will have

• 7+ years of functional experience with Infor LN (10.x) or BAAN focused on Projects, Contracts, Project Accounting, Manufacturing, or Service operations.
• Strong understanding of Project Setup, Contract Management, Contract Lines, Project Costing, Revenue Recognition, Billing, and Financial Controls.
• Experience supporting engineer-to-order, project-based manufacturing, or industrial operations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience supporting ERP implementations, upgrades, and global deployments.
• The position requires the candidate to work a 5-a day -week schedule in the office

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with project-based manufacturing, industrial equipment, energy, or heavy manufacturing industries.
• Knowledge of Salesforce integrations, middleware technologies, project financial reporting, and tax integrations.
• Familiarity with project governance, margin analysis, forecasting, billing processes, and financial performance management.
• Understanding of project execution KPIs, operational reporting, and continuous improvement methodologies.

• Designs complex application architectures that meet performance, scalability, and reliability requirements.
• Evaluates and selects appropriate pattern, components, technologies, and tools for application development; integrates them with technical design.
• Leads application design reviews and walkthroughs to ensure alignment between business requirements and technical solution.
• Troubleshoots complex design issues and provides innovative solutions.
• Prepares technical design documents and blueprints for applications.
Implementation: Knowledge of how to run applications for organizations; ability to implement application software within an organization and help end-users perform specific tasks (ex: accounting or graphic design).
Level Working Knowledge:
• Tracks problems associated with the quality and effectiveness of application software.
• Researches the benefits and drawbacks of an organization's application software.
• Drafts application software usage for the department's needs.
• Provides instant support for end users of application software.

Requirements Analysis: Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.

• Plays an active or leading role in recording and storing requirement documents in various forms.
• Ensures the successful completion of all major activities, tasks and deliverables pertaining to the requirement analysis stage.
• Supervises the advanced use of requirements analysis tools and services, including prototyping and use cases.
• Produces detailed functional and information requirements models and documentation.
• Trains others on requirements walkthroughs and quality reviews.
