Up to 18% bonus
Car allowance - £500pcm
25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
Contributory pension scheme - Caterpillar will double the employee's contribution up to 6%
Contributory share scheme - Caterpillar will match 50% of the employee's contribution.

This position requires a 4.5-day-a-week schedule in the office.

The opportunity
As the HR Manager, you will be a key driver of our people strategy, shaping and delivering HR initiatives that directly support our business goals. You’ll act as a trusted advisor to leaders, champion best‑in‑class HR policies and practices, and play a pivotal role in creating an engaging, high‑performance culture where people can thrive and develop.
Leading an experienced team of HR Partners and Generalists, you’ll collaborate closely with senior leadership to build, embed and continuously evolve a strong, consistent HR function at our Larne manufacturing site. This is a high‑visibility role where you’ll have real influence, helping to shape the future of both our people and our business.
What you will do:
Collaborate with management as a strategic advisor helping identify and prioritize HR initiatives that align with the organization's strategic goals and objectives.
Align HR policies and programs for their business unit or region which promote employee engagement, retention, and performance.
Act as a trusted coach providing guidance to leaders and managers on HR-related matters, including performance management, compensation, and benefits, etc.
Analyze HR metrics and data to identify trends and opportunities and develop a story to provide data-driven recommendations to senior management.
Lead a team of HR professionals to collaborate effectively with other Centers of Excellence and serve as thought leaders to the business and HR.

Demonstrable ability to lead and develop HR strategies that engage others in setting, embracing and achieving organisational objectives.
Ability to apply multiple leadership styles to meet evolving team needs and support employee development.
Proven capability to use positive reinforcement and coaching techniques to motivate employees, drive desired behaviors, and enhance team productivity.
Ability to apply performance management feedback and principles to help develop team capability.

Employee Relations:
Knowledge of employee rights and obligations, with the ability to adhere to legal requirements when handling employee negotiations.
Ability to consult managers and guide them on effective employee relations practices, strategies, and issue-resolution approaches.
Experience monitoring employee relations benchmarks such as satisfaction, retention, and turnover to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Knowledge of union practices and principles.
Talent Management:
Demonstrated knowledge of how an organisation attracts, recruits, retains, identifies, and develops talent to meet short and long-term business goals.
Ability to coordinate reward and recognition programs designed to retain high-performing and high-potential employees.
Experience assessing organisational competencies, analysing talent development needs, and maintaining visibility to high-potential employees.
