Caterpillar’s Digital Marketing Manager applies leadership and expertise to associates to drive marketing execution for a portfolio of enterprise Digital tools, processes and strategies. Also a team member, deliver a strong product marketing plan for a set of digital tools and systems within our division. You will work hand-in-hand with partners to develop a product marketing strategy, create enticing content, deliver webinars, generate web and video copy, develop presentations, and more to help drive adoption with stakeholders and end users.
Job Duties / Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Lead a small team of marketing professionals responsible for the worldwide development of Marketing and Change Management strategies for assigned Digital product portfolios, providing marketing support to Caterpillar Industry teams and 6000+ Caterpillar Tier 1 Suppliers. Key responsibilities include:
Creation of Digital Product Marketing strategies:
Interacts extensively with business and digital product groups to understand the appropriate capabilities, integration points and deployment of digital products as well as providing marketing consulting back into the organization.
Identification of customer personas and development of Digital Product business value proposition for each identified persona.
Development of marketing materials to effectively communicate the value proposition.
Identify the marketing channels to be used and validation strategy to confirm acceptance through analytics.
Development and execution of organizational change management:
Develop a strategy and material to lead all identified personas through the introduction of a new Digital Capability. Methodology should include customer awareness, commitment, training, and initial (hypercare) and ongoing customer adoption, satisfaction measurement, and support strategies.
Interacts and gains experience with digital capabilities to develop strong digital acumen to communicate with partners and stakeholders.
Initiates and executes digital marketing projects and activities that drive and build digital awareness globally including business units and suppliers.
Communications Support :
Lead operational support of Marketing and Change Management activities (ex. meeting and webinar setup, learning sessions, training scheduling etc.)
Drives proper collaboration, coordination, training, communication and alignment among the digital product marketing team.
Employee is also responsible for performing other job duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time to time.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business
10+ years of progressive business responsibilities involving various Marking, Communications, Learning and Change Management roles
Top Candidates will also have:
A high degree of mechanical aptitude is desirable
Broad business background, specific long-term industry knowledge and excellent communication skills.
Demonstrated track record of effective B2B messaging development, and successful product launches
Excellent human relation, project management and customer service skills - with a proven ability to develop a cooperative work relationship both inside and outside the division.
An ability to apply user insights, research, analytics to strategies.
Strong presentation skills and examples of Successful Marketing and Communication Strategies with results. Business to Business (B2B) Marketing / Creative Agency experience.
Ability to effectively collaborate with people across many different backgrounds and cultures, internally and externally, with the appropriate influence and ability to resolve differences.
Prior experience leading a marketing team
The primary location for this position is Mossville, IL
Domestic relocation assistance is available
