Job Summary:
The Team Lead IT QA is responsible for leading and coordinating testing activities across complex enterprise application systems. This role provides technical leadership, governance, and strategic direction for testing initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives, delivery timelines, and quality standards.
The position requires strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities, including regular interaction with senior leadership and C level executives. While the role maintains solid technical knowledge of testing processes, tools, and systems, it focuses primarily on coordination, planning, oversight, and decision support rather than hands on test execution.
What You Will Do:
- Coordinate and oversee testing activities for enterprise application systems, ensuring appropriate test coverage, quality, and compliance with IT standards.
- Define testing strategies, scope, timelines, resources, and dependencies across multiple applications and projects.
- Act as the primary point of contact for testing topics with business stakeholders, IT leaders, and executive management.
- Communicate testing status, risks, quality metrics, and readiness assessments clearly and effectively to stakeholders, including C level audiences.
- Guide and support test analysts and QA resources, ensuring consistent application of testing processes, tools, and best practices.
- Ensure appropriate use of Azure DevOps for test planning, tracking, defect management, and reporting.
- Maintain oversight of testing efforts involving Oracle E Business Suite (EBS), Salesforce, and Capital Stream application landscapes.
- Support projects delivered under Waterfall methodology, ensuring testing milestones are properly planned and executed.
- Provide governance for test automation initiatives using tools such as UFT and Playwright, without direct day to day execution.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and quality concerns early, and recommend mitigation strategies to project and technology leadership.
- Promote continuous improvement in testing processes, communication, and delivery effectiveness.
Education requirement:
- Bachelor's degree in MIS or Computer Information or equivalent degree.
- Advanced English proficiency for cross‑site and global collaboration.
What skills you will have:
- Experience in Information Technology, with demonstrated experience coordinating or leading testing activities.
- Strong experience working with Azure DevOps for testing coordination, reporting, and governance.
- Solid understanding of application testing lifecycle, test management, and quality assurance practices.
- Practical knowledge of test automation tools such as UFT and Playwright (oversight and coordination level).
- Experience supporting enterprise environments using Oracle EBS, Salesforce, and Capital Stream.
- Proven experience working within Waterfall project methodology.
- Strong ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership and executives.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Detail oriented with a strong focus on quality, governance, and risk management
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and coordinate technical teams in a collaborative and results oriented environment.
- Strong stakeholder management and executive communication capabilities.
- Ability to translate complex technical and quality topics into clear, business focused messages.
- Working knowledge of core application systems, system integration concepts, and enterprise architectures.
- Strong experience in problem resolution, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ability to influence without direct authority and drive alignment across cross functional teams.
Top candidates will also have:
- Experience coordinating testing for large scale, highly integrated enterprise systems.
- Familiarity with testing governance models and quality metrics for executive reporting.
- Experience operating in global or multi regional IT environments.
- Background in IT leadership, coordination roles, or functional team leadership.
Additional Information:
- This position will be in Santa Maria Office at Monterrey, Nuevo Leon.
- This position is five-days a week subject to changes and willingness to work sporadically on weekends.
