We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our Product Support and Logistics Division as a  Distribution Manager (2nd Shift) in Waco, TX.

The  Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. We touch nearly every element of the services value stream from procurement to design and manufacturing to distribution. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution of Cat Parts, Integrated Logistics, segment Procurement and the design and manufacture of Wear Components (Undercarriage and GET) and Maintenance Components (Seals, Tubes & Hardware, Hose & Couplings, Fluids and Filters).

Job Summary –

• This Distribution Manager (2nd Shift) oversees Inbound Processing Center (IPC) operations in the receiving, packaging, allocation, and shipping of material. This role serves as a front line leader with majority of time spent out on the floor. This role provides guidance and supervision to ensure the accomplishment of distribution center goals, including those related to budget and cost structure.

Additional Info :

• This role is located in Waco, TX and does not offer relocation
• This role is 2nd Shift : Monday-Friday 2pm-10:30pm
• This role is 100% on-site with no opportunity for hybrid or remote schedules

What You Will Do:

• Making workflow decisions under the direction of management. Improving service levels and costs for distribution center operations.

• Supervising and motivating distribution center employees through effective coaching and training, clear communication of job expectations, and positive reinforcement of exemplary performance; maintaining a positive distribution center working environment.
• Implementing productivity, quality, and service standards. Resolving problems and identifying areas for improvements. Contributing performance data to strategic plans and reviews.
• Ensuring all equipment receives preventative maintenance and repairs, as necessary.
• Adhering to requirements and procedures for safety regulations.

• Operational Functions: Knowledge of major functional processes and associated operating requirements; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
• Coaching Others : Knowledge of coaching and mentoring concepts and methods; ability to encourage, motivate, and guide individuals in learning and improving effectiveness.
• Leadership: Knowledge of leadership practices and processes; ability to use strategies and skills to enlist others in setting, embracing and achieving objectives while having a long-term perspective of the future state of things and how to get there.
• Warehouse Management : Knowledge of the policies, processes and systems of warehouse management; ability to effectively manage one or more warehouses or distribution centers.
   

What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Skills):

• Bachelor’s degree or past experience in a Distribution Center environment
• Prior management or supervision experience

Summary Pay Range:

$71,040.00 - $106,440.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
