Job Summary:
The Automation & Autonomy division is leading Caterpillar and the industry with the utilization of data analytics, innovation, digital channels and techniques to drive profit, facilitate growth, unlock new revenue streams and provide more durable competitive advantages for the business through innovate solutions for our customers.
We are seeking a talented, lead engineer to join our team. This role will be accountable for managing the on-going performance, availability & quality of VisionLink Productivity application. The incumbent may also take up accountability for delivering enhancements and extensions to the product. You will empower Caterpillar customers by creating innovative web solutions and interactive user experiences.
What You Will Do:
- Ensure VisionLink Productivity meets UI page-load performance, up-time and product quality target metrics.
- Lead issue resolution in alignment with Continuous Product Improvement (CPI) priorities.
- Lead triaging of end-to-end defects.
- Analyze product performance data to identify areas for improvement.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop and implement design changes.
- Conduct tests and simulations to validate design modifications and ensure they meet performance and quality standards.
- Evaluate customer feedback and integrate insights into product enhancements.
- Monitor market trends and competitor products to inform improvement strategies.
- Create detailed reports and documentation outlining proposed and implemented changes.
- Lead root cause analysis for product failures and develop corrective action plans.
- Communicate ideas effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
- Collaborate with development teams to meet industry requirements.
- Deliver on short-term needs that align with long-term strategic visions.
Education Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.

Additional Information
The location for this position is Mossville, IL.
Domestic relocation assistance is available for this position.
This position may require up to 15% travel.
