Job Summary:

Join Caterpillar as a Senior IT Analyst Applications – EDI & B2B Integrations and help shape the digital backbone that connects suppliers, dealers, and business partners across global operations.

In this role, you will lead the design, governance, testing, onboarding, and production readiness of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and B2B integration solutions, supporting reliable information flow across multiple business units. You will partner closely with business stakeholders, application teams, suppliers, vendors, and compliance partners to translate business needs into scalable, standards-based integration solutions. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior-level technologist who enjoys solving complex application and integration challenges, influencing standards, and improving stability in mission-critical environments.

What you will do:

  • Lead the design of EDI and B2B integration solutions by analyzing business requirements, assessing downstream impacts, and recommending standards-based transaction, routing, and implementation options.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for EDI standards such as X12 and EDIFACT, supporting global business partners across multiple business units.

  • Approve configuration, routing, test execution, and production readiness for supplier, dealer, and trading-partner onboarding activities.

  • Provide governance and thought leadership for EDI versioning, standards decisions, and integration design to balance business needs, maintainability, and long-term scalability.

  • Act as an escalation point for complex integration failures, cross-system issues, and stability concerns involving externally facing integration services.

  • Partner with vendors and internal compliance stakeholders to support audit requests, export controls, IP restrictions, and IT controls updates.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation, implementation guidance, and requirements traceability to support smooth deployment and operational excellence.

What you will have:

  • Service Excellence: Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques; ability to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations and provide excellent service in a direct or indirect manner.

  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

Basic requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems.

  • Pre-Advanced English.

  • Demonstrated experience with EDI and B2B integrations in enterprise environments.

  • Hands-on experience testing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and upgrading EDI maps and related transaction flows.

  • Strong capability in requirements analysis, including translating business requirements into functional and technical specifications.

  • Strong capability in application design and architecture, especially for complex integrations, performance, reliability, and maintainability.

  • Strong capability in system and technology integration, including interface design, risk identification, and cross-platform coordination.

  • Strong capability in system testing and production-readiness validation for complex, distributed applications.

Top candidates will also have:

  • Experience with IBM Sterling B2B Integrator / Sterling Integrator.

  • Experience leading supplier or trading-partner onboarding in complex enterprise ecosystems.

  • Knowledge of integration governance, service stability, controls, risk management, and audit support in externally facing platforms.

  • Project management capability, including ownership of timelines, dependencies, stakeholder updates, and rollout readiness.

  • Experience working in manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, dealer, or supplier integration landscapes.

  • Familiarity with production support models, root-cause analysis, and operational improvement for business-critical interfaces.

Note: This position requires the candidate to work on-site five days a week.
