Job Summary:
Caterpillar is embarking on a bold digital transformation to revolutionize our dealers’ systems - seamless, intelligent, and designed for the future. We are developing a scalable, modern ERP solution for Caterpillar dealers, built on Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Azure Integration Services. This next-generation platform will leverage pre-configured business processes, optimized workflows and AI-powered automation to streamline operations, accelerate digital capability deployment, and elevate customer experience across our global dealer network.

The Manager Digital Program will define and scale delivery practices, governance frameworks, and reporting solutions that enhance consistency, transparency, and predictability across the Dealer and Rental Systems PMO. This leader role combines strong people leadership with deep execution expertise, actively shaping how work is structured, executed and delivered. They will play a key role in driving integrated delivery across teams and products, strengthening dependency management, and advancing modern delivery capabilities. This role is instrumental in elevating delivery maturity, improving flow and predictability, and enabling high-quality execution across a complex, multi-workstream digital program.


What You Will Do:

  • Drive integrated delivery across teams and digital products, including dependency identification, tracking, and reporting, to ensure alignment and reduce execution risk across the program
  • Evolve the Scaled Agile delivery framework, driving clarity in backlog decomposition, flow of work, and cross-team alignment across complex workstreams
  • Partner with engineering, product, and deployment teams to optimize ways of working, streamline delivery processes, and strengthen program execution
  • Serve as a hands-on expert in Azure DevOps (ADO), establishing and governing standards for backlog structure, hierarchy, traceability, workflow and reporting across teams and partners
  • Develop program dashboards and reporting solutions, ensuring visibility into delivery performance, risks, dependencies, and release readiness
  • Lead program-level governance forums, ensuring clear decision-making, dependency management, escalation paths, and alignment across business, technical, and partner organizations
  • Lead creation and refinement of PMO templates, tooling integrations, and operating rhythms to support roadmap planning, demand intake, and end-to-end delivery management
  • Mature release management practices, including release planning, readiness tracking, and coordination across integrated products and external dependencies
  • Coach and develop a high-performing team of Project Managers and Scrum Masters
  • Lead the exploration and application of AI-enabled solutions, including automation and agent-based capabilities, to streamline delivery processes, enhance insights, and improve overall program execution

What You Will Have:

  • Organizational Leadership: Knowledge of leadership concepts and ability to use strategies and skills to enlist others in setting, embracing and achieving objectives.
  • Program Management: Knowledge of the policies and techniques to manage a set of related projects within a program; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control the set of projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve program objectives.
  • Change Control: Knowledge of the processes and procedures by which a change is identified, evaluated, approved, monitored and documented; Ability to manage changes in the production environment and processes effectively.
  • IT Project Management: Knowledge of project management; ability to plan, organize, monitor and control IT projects using appropriate technical resources.

Considerations For Top Candidates:

  • Deep expertise leading agile programs at scale, with the ability to establish governance frameworks that translate into consistent, high-quality execution
  • Proven ability to orchestrate delivery across complex, multi-team or multi-Agile Release Train (ART) environments, effectively managing dependencies and ensuring alignment across workstreams
  • Strong experience with Azure DevOps (ADO), including backlog decomposition, hierarchy design, workflow configuration, and reporting/dashboard development
  • Demonstrated ability to lead the development and standardization of dashboards and reporting to drive program transparency, performance insights, and executive decision support
  • Extensive experience in software development lifecycle (SDLC) and digital product delivery, with the ability to operate effectively across engineering, product, and business functions
  • Experience driving process design and continuous improvement, with a focus on creating scalable, repeatable, and efficient Agile PMO practices
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and align cross-functional teams
  • Previous experience leading teams and delivering large-scale enterprise digital programs
  • Demonstrated experience in release management for integrated solutions, including planning, coordination, and readiness across multiple products and external dependencies

Summary Pay Range:

$147,760.00 - $221,640.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
