The Role:

  • Provide guidance and direction to staff and leadership in understanding and implementing the compliance policies for Caterpillar Insurance Company and insurance affiliates. Research issues, coordinate responses and action plans, including training and monitoring, to ensure compliance with underwriting policies and procedures, corporate governance standards and regulatory requirements in appropriate jurisdictions.


What You Will Do:

  • Participates in the identification of Compliance risks and Governance issues, and the development of resolutions to address them.

  • Draft and coordinate communications related to compliance issues and regulatory changes.

  • Review, research, and interpret new statutes, regulations, and bulletins from various insurance and other regulatory agencies.

  • Recommend and coordinate implementation of new processes and changes to current procedures.

  • Review and develop high‑quality training, customer‑facing, dealer, and marketing materials, ensuring all content is accurate, consistent, on‑brand, compliant and clearly communicates product value, capabilities, and messaging to both external partners and customers.

  • Support committees dealing with risk, compliance, and governance committees by coordinating end‑to‑end meeting readiness—managing agendas and actions, preparing and polishing presentations and packs, and driving clear communications to ensure reviews run smoothly, decisions are captured, and follow‑ups are executed on time.

  • Business Ethics: Knowledge of practices, behaviors, applicable laws, rules, and regulations governing proper business conduct; ability to demonstrate ethical behavior in diverse situations.

  • Information Capture: Knowledge of the methods, channels and processes to obtain needed information; ability to identify, capture and document relevant business information in an auditable, organized, understandable and easily retrievable manner.

  • Standard Operating Procedures: Knowledge of established standard operating procedures (SOP); ability to design, implement and evaluate standard operating procedures affecting daily and strategic business operations in order to increase operational efficiency.

  • Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.

  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

  • Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

  • Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.

Top Skills a Successful Candidate Will Bring

  • Strong insurance operations background — proven experience working within core insurance operations (e.g., policy administration, servicing, claims, underwriting support, customer onboarding), with a clear understanding of end-to-end operational impacts.

  • Solid regulatory & compliance foundation — hands-on experience working in regulated environments, with confidence applying regulatory expectations and internal controls to day-to-day decisions and documentation.

  • Working knowledge of legal/compliance training standards — able to interpret compliance requirements and translate them into clear, practical training and guidance for internal teams, dealers/partners, or customer-facing audiences.

  • Compliance-first approach to marketing and outward-facing materials — experience reviewing or shaping marketing/customer communications to ensure they are accurate, compliant, and aligned to brand + regulatory standards (including approvals, disclaimers, and audit trails).

  • Excellent cross-functional communication — skilled at collaborating with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Operations, Marketing, and business stakeholders; can explain complex requirements in plain language and drive alignment without friction.

  • Regulatory mindset with a practical delivery style — understands the “why” behind regulation, but focuses on usable, implementable outcomes (training content, compliant messaging, governance-ready documentation).

Additional information:

  • This position requires the successful candidate to work full time, 5 days per week in the Nashville main office.

Compensation & Benefits:

Summary Pay Range:

$97,728.00 - $151,572.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
