We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our Cat Technology Division as an Engineering Manager in Mossville, IL.

Job Summary:

• The Engineering Manager will lead and manage the team supporting power conversion for electrification systems. Coach and develop new engineers in systems development while contributing to the delivery of the validated electronic system to be integrated into Caterpillar's electrification projects including integration, requirements, development, and verification. Provide technical leadership role on NPI, NTI, and small batch programs

• This role is located in Mossville, IL and does offer relocation
• This role is 1st shift
• This role is 100% on-site with no opportunity for hybrid or remote schedules
• This role requires up to 15% domestic/international travel

What You Will Do:

• Managing staffing, development, and performance management programs for engineering teams; motivating and developing project and team leaders.
• Providing specialized engineering technical support and consulting services to various areas of the organization.
• Managing high-impact, short and long duration engineering initiatives and projects; ensuring achievement of engineering plan and product quality.
• Maintaining product release plans and material plans; driving programs to completion on time and within budget.
• Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum.

What You Have (Required Skills):

• Bachelor's Degree required in Electrical Engineering or related field

• Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
• Technical Excellence: Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.

    • Advises others on the assessment and provision of all technical solutions.
    • Engages appropriate subject matter resources to effectively resolve technical issues.
    • Mentors others to enhance their technical competence and its application to achieve more effective technical solutions.
    • Coaches others in promoting, defining, analyzing, and providing superior technical solutions to business problems.
    • Provides effective solutions to moderate technical challenges through strong technical competence, effectively examining implications of events and issues.
    • Assumes accountability for personal technical performance and holds others responsible for theirs.
• Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
• Planning: Tactical, Strategic: Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.
