As a Repair Technician I – Shop Support, you will perform a variety of advanced production (machine operating) duties while adhering to Caterpillar’s core values of integrity, excellence, teamwork, commitment, and sustainability. Repair Technicians will effectively interact and communicate with facility management, manufacturing engineers, and production employees to help ensure and improve processes within the facility. We offer a competitive hourly wage of $18.55 per hour with room for growth.
Day to day, as a Repair Technician I, you will work with raw materials (steel) while operating overhead cranes setting specialty parts into production machine centers (MVR) while verifying parts to pre-programmed data. Your day will also include housekeeping of your production center at beginning and end of shift, as well as material movements using mobile equipment.
As a Caterpillar Repair Technician I in Victoria, TX you will:

Performing all necessary documentation in a timely manner
Working effectively with others to complete projects
Taking responsibility for your own safety as well as the safety of others
Maintaining a clean work area
Ability to work in a team environment
Show good problem-solving skills
Thorough understanding of production processes and requirements in assigned area and the ability to perform the specialized skills necessary
Successful candidates must bring (Basic Qualifications):
6 months of production machine operation experience
Proficient computer skills
Top Candidates will bring (Preferred):
Successful completion of classroom, electronic or hands on assembly or quality training
Advanced data analytic skills and in-depth knowledge with Excel and/or Access
Experience operating gantry and overhead cranes
Experience operating mobile/forklift equipment
Additional Details:
Compensation:$18.55 an hour + Quarterly Gainsharing Bonus
Compensation Growth: Pay increases are based on skills and performance, as well as an annual opportunity for a merit increase
Shift: First Shift
Hours: 07:00AM-03:30PM, with overtime as available or required

Summary Pay Range:
$18.55 - $24.05Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
