As a U.S. International Tax Manager in the U.S. Tax Reporting and Analysis group, you will be responsible for aspects of the U.S. Consolidated Federal Income Tax return with a focus on U.S. International activities. This experienced tax professional will be a valued member on a team that performs complex compliance and provision activities, leads and/or supports special projects, and provides support for the IRS income tax audit.

You will have the opportunity to expand your income tax experience in multiple U.S. tax technical areas with great opportunities for career progression. The role will challenge you to combine technical and business knowledge to complete a high-quality work product, adapt to a rapidly changing legislative environment, and demonstrate critical thinking skills through the implementation of controls and analysis.

What You Will Do:

  • Tax Compliance Management:
    • Prepares complex U.S. International compliance computations for earnings and profits, Subpart F, GILTI, FDII, foreign tax credit limitation, and U.S. International Forms including 5471 and 8858.
    • Work closely with business partners and technical specialists to ensure appropriate preparation and review on technical areas.
  • Tax Planning Support & Special Projects: 
    • Analyzes and interprets proposed changes to U.S. law and regulations with regard to the impact on compliance requirements, requiring in-depth experience, knowledge and judgment. 
    • Applies tax research results to optimize enterprise tax effects. 
    • Leads projects related to process improvement, implementation of controls, and other planning initiatives.
    • Participates on teams within or outside of the U.S. Tax Reporting and Analysis group on Global Tax initiatives.
  • IRS Audit Support
    • Provides analysis for U.S. tax audits and develops responses to inquiries from taxing authorities.

What You Have:

  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business-related field
  • Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to interpret ideas, information, and needs through appropriate communication.
  • Financial and Accounting Systems: Knowledge of functions, features and capabilities of financial and accounting systems; ability to use financial and accounting applications specific to the organization.
  • Tax Regulations: Knowledge of federal, state and local tax procedures and regulations; ability to adhere to tax regulations when filing forms as they pertain to a particular business or industry.
  • Research Analysis : Knowledge of the concepts and methods of research analysis; ability to locate, interpret and evaluate research findings compiled and documented by others.

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

  • Strong tax compliance experience in U.S. International taxation, including earnings and profits and income inclusions
  • Experience with Corptax software

Additional Info :

  • This position can be located in our Peoria, IL, Dallas, TX or Chicago, IL office
  • This role is a full time, Hybrid position and currently requires 3 days a week in office
  • Domestic relocation assistance is available for those who qualify
  • Sponsorship is not available
  • International and Domestic travel up to 5%
