Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Manager Accounting (Statutory) to join Stat. Reporting CoE – Global Finance Services Division.

The incumbent would be accountable for High Integrity Financial Reporting in compliance with various local accounting standards in Asia including strong internal control as applicable by local statutes.

The preference for this role is to be based out of Bangalore Office, KA-India

What you will do


Job Duties:

Finalisation of Audit

  • Primary Responsibility for quality of Financial Statements and finalisation of Statutory Audits and for various legal entities in accordance with the local regulatory requirements
  • Ensure Audit milestones are met through seamless coordination with the internal functional teams and the auditors
  • Handle audit escalations and support team technically and personally in ensuring successful audit completion
  • Decide on matters involving complex accounting treatments, critical observations, materiality, estimates and judgements.
  • Engage leadership / technical experts, as required, where audit opinion / quality / timeliness is impacted.

Support Transfer Pricing

  • Lead intercompany pricing execution across regions, product groups, or major transitions
  • Serve as execution SME for intercompany pricing and invoice flow processes
  • Drive resolution of high-impact pricing and invoicing issues affecting revenue recognition or audit risk
  • Partner with Transfer Pricing teams on implementation of approved pricing changes
  • Support design and rollout of standardized execution models within GBS
  • Contribute to process optimization, automation, and control enhancement initiatives
  • Provide guidance on execution risks and operational readiness

Trusted Advisor

  • Collaborate with Business Operations / Accounting / Treasury/ Trade Complaince / Tax / Legal and other functional groups to understand and address critical decisions in the Statutory Financial Reporting
  • Act as advisor to the business operations on changes that impact local statutory reporting
    Present to the Board - clear analysis of annual financial results, audit observtions, etc.

    Lead a Team

  • Supervise a team and their related workload, prioritizes projects, assigns and reviews work, and participates in employee selection process.
  • Evaluate and report on staff performance, promote team rewards and successes and provide career guidance to team members.
  • Provides technical guidance and expertise on highly complex accounting issues to other legal entity accountants and management.
  • Communicate a clear and compelling vision and motivate others in the organization to exceed and excel

What you will have

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant with 10+ years of experience in handling Statutory Audits and other areas of local financial reporting.
  • Experience in accounting in US GAAP & IFRS / any Asia FRS
  • Experience in SAP or other ERP is preferred
  • Big 4 experience will be an advantage
  • Basic Knowledge of Compliances relating to Taxes / Secretarial / trade /Currency to the extent impacting financial reporting will be required
  • Excellent Communication and inter-personal skills required
  • This position requires candidate to work a 5-day -a -week schedule in the office.
  • Other Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of industry, general accounting practices, proactive, demonstrate strong leadership and high EQ
  • Maintaining stable performance under demanding business needs and support to the Business to the urgency.
  • Proven ability to mentor, coach, and guide analysts
