About IPSD

Caterpillar’s Industrial Power Systems Division (IPSD) designs, tests and manufactures 0.5 to 18L engines that not only power Caterpillar machines, but also power over 5000 other applications including Marine, Petroleum, Industrial Applications, Electric Generators, and Locomotives. Caterpillar’s company strategy includes sustainability as one of four focus areas and IPSD is engaged and actively preparing green energy solutions for the future.

Role Definition

We are seeking a Marking Communication Consultant. This is a critical staff role for an experienced marketer in Caterpillar’s Industrial Power Systems Division. Based in Seguin, Texas, this is a key role supporting Caterpillar and Perkins brands in engine marketing, aftermarket marketing, rental and more. Specifically, this role will be the SME (subject matter expert) for Cat aftermarket initiatives and will assist with the shaping and activation of IPSD’s marketing plans. The role will assist with marketing initiatives globally.

What You Will Do:

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for Cat aftermarket initiatives, supporting the shaping and activation of IPSD marketing plans.

  • Develop, manage, and execute campaign activation efforts across marketing initiatives.

  • Lead and support successful marketing programs by managing key project tasks, timelines, and deliverables.

  • Apply expertise in campaign/project management, Workfront, digital marketing, and creative development to deliver measurable results.

  • Support Caterpillar and Perkins brand marketing efforts across engine marketing, aftermarket marketing, rental, and related initiatives.

  • Leverage knowledge of Caterpillar products, services, industries, and customers, especially applications involving medium and large engines.

  • Collaborate across the enterprise matrix to support broad-based marketing efforts and align with business priorities.

  • Create and implement campaigns that optimize channel activation, strengthen marketing communications, and demonstrate business impact.

  • Analyzes the psychology of marketing communication and incorporates the routes to persuasion in the marketing plan.

  • Compares and contrasts the benefits and drawbacks of different types of marketing communication techniques.

  • Delivers various promotional and marketing communications that engage the target audience, respond to their questions and concerns and produce specific outcomes and impact.

  • Develops a clear and complete understanding of needs and problems through careful listening, probing, reflecting, and summarizing.

  • Develops a marketing communication strategy that focuses on promoting the distinctive value proposition of the product or service being offered.

  • Guides the team members in developing a marketing communication plan and strategy.

What Sets You Apart:

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.

  • Experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator and/or Account based marketing

  • Experience with marketing and communications

Summary Pay Range:

$112,710.00 - $169,060.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
