Job Summary:
As a Gas Engine System Lead, you are the technical owner for a defined gas engine subsystem or product family. In this role, you’re accountable for end‑to‑end system performance, ensuring that hardware, software, controls, and calibration work together seamlessly to meet product, regulatory, and customer requirements throughout the entire engine lifecycle.
You’ll operate at the intersection of multiple engineering disciplines, playing a critical role in system integration, technical decision‑making, and product success. This position is ideal for a technically strong leader who enjoys solving complex system‑level challenges and influencing product direction.
What You Will Do:
- Own and evolve the system‑level technical requirements and architecture for your assigned gas engine platform or subsystem, ensuring alignment with program objectives and long‑term product strategy.
- Serve as the primary technical interface across software, hardware, validation, applications, and product teams, driving alignment and clear technical direction.
- Lead system integration issue resolution, including complex technical problems, field issues, and performance gaps, ensuring timely and robust solutions.
- Guide CRMs, design decisions, and technical studies, ensuring changes align with system intent, technical standards, and overall program goals.
- Support new product introductions (NPI), validation planning, and release readiness, representing the system perspective throughout development and launch.
- Mentor and support system engineers, while contributing to technical strategy, roadmap planning, and risk management across the Gas Engine Systems portfolio.
Education requirement:
- Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
What skills you will have:

Demonstrates extensive experience leading complex engineering projects from concept through execution and delivery. Applies strong project management practices to define scope, develop schedules, manage risks, and coordinate cross‑functional resources to ensure projects are delivered on time and within objectives. Effectively balances technical priorities, stakeholder expectations, and business needs while maintaining accountability for milestones, deliverables, and overall project performance.
Technical Excellence
Exhibits deep technical knowledge and engineering judgment to guide design decisions, evaluate technical trade‑offs, and ensure solutions meet performance, quality, safety, and reliability requirements. Serves as a technical authority for assigned projects, reviewing designs, mentoring engineers, and ensuring adherence to engineering standards and best practices. Applies hands‑on experience to troubleshoot complex technical issues and drive robust, well‑engineered solutions.
Influencing Through Expertise
Demonstrates the ability to influence outcomes through technical credibility and subject‑matter expertise, often leading without direct authority. Effectively communicates complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, including engineering teams, cross‑functional partners, and leadership. Builds alignment and commitment by presenting data‑driven recommendations, facilitating informed decision‑making, and guiding teams toward solutions that balance technical excellence with business objectives.
Product Design and Development
Brings significant experience supporting and leading product design and development activities throughout the full product lifecycle. Partners closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure designs are functional, manufacturable, and aligned with customer and regulatory requirements.
