Salary/Grade:  £52,300 - £64,000 depending on experience

Work Location: Peterborough

Energy & Transportation (E&T) supports customers in oil and gas, power generation, marine, rail, and industrial applications, including Cat® machines. Job Summary:

The UK Talent Acquisition (TA) Team is responsible for identifying and sourcing top talent to join our teams across multiple Caterpillar locations within the UK.  The TA team works closely with Hiring Managers to source, identify and recruit the best candidates for their vacancies and manage the end-to-end recruitment process.  The scope of our work is diverse, and we foster an energizing environment where different perspectives and experiences are welcomed.

As a Talent Acquisition Manager , you will report to a Senior Talent Acquisition Manager and manage a team of four TA Professionals. The TA Manager will also collaborate with various process partners in HR, Center of Excellence and other Global TA Leaders to ensure compliance and adoption of leading hiring practices.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead, motivate and develop team, maximizing individual contributions and supporting professional growth.

  • Manage recruitment programs; implement improvements to staffing processes, including sourcing and selection.

  • Develop recruitment best practices which support the organization's goals and direction.

  • Work with management to ensure the timely understanding of current and future workforce needs; evaluating and providing advice on these needs.

Staffing and Recruiting : Knowledge of standards, processes, techniques and methods used in staffing and recruiting; ability to identify, select, retain and relocate qualified personnel, both internally and externally, for a wide range of positions.

  • Resolves complex problems in the recruiting and staffing processes for various positions.

  • Consults on all aspects (e.g. relocation or recruiting) of the staffing process.

  • Coaches others on staffing for multiple functions or departments in the organization.

  • Monitors the staffing marketplace and competitive environment.

Influencing : Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization.

  • Advises on techniques to build rapport and commitment to common purpose.

  • Determines and leverages the decision-making style of the individual or group being influenced.

  • Delivers well-received presentations of cost, benefits, risks, and other considerations.

Additional Information:
