As a Quality Engineer at SPM Oil and Gas, you will Performs advanced inspection and audits to track, analyze, and report on materials, processes, and products to ensure conformance to company's quality standards.

Work Location: Batam, Kepulauan Riau

Travel Requirement: None

You will work both in an office and manufacturing shop-floor environment.

Domestic relocation is not available for this position.

As the Quality Engineer, you will:

  • Review customer specifications and tenders to ensure quality compliance.

  • Develop inspection and test plans, and other necessary quality documents.

  • Coordinate with sales, country managers, and suppliers to resolve quality issues.

  • Prepare corrective and preventive action reports (CAPA) to improve quality processes.

  • Assist quality management system (QMS) representatives during internal and external audits.

  • Conduct final reviews of manufacturing record books before customer delivery.

  • Support the purchasing team in evaluating new and existing suppliers for quality compliance.

  • Participate in supplier audits and assessments.

  • Provide quality induction training for new employees.

  • Collaborate with sales and country managers to collect and maintain customer satisfaction data.

  • Identify and implement quality process improvements based on customer feedback.

  • Participate in assigned environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs.

  • Maintain a safe work environment.

The successful candidate must bring:

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering with 4-5 years’ experience in similar industry.

  • Experience in quality surveillance, performing inspections, managing QC activities, and maintaining non-conformance and corrective action records.

  • Experience witnessing welding activities, non-destructive testing (NDT), hydrotesting, and fit-up processes.

  • In-depth understanding of Quality Management Systems and ISO 9001:2015.

  • Ability to identify and implement process improvements based on customer feedback.

Top candidates will also bring:

  • In-depth understanding of API Q1, API 6A & 16A is advantage.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with sales, country managers, suppliers, and customers.

  • Training and presentation skills to deliver quality induction training.

Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):

  • This job requires extensive active movement throughout the plant including climbing stairs and steps, lifting devices, and pushing and pulling equipment.
