Role Definition
Work with manufacturing team or end customer and packaging design team to bring out a best packaging design to meet New Model launch metrics such as Safety, Quality, Velocity, Cost as well Sustainable.

Responsibilities
• Coordinates meetings and partners with cross-functional team for packaging approvals between design and end user.
• Solidifying agreement with Supply Chain on Returnable packaging loop size/inventory and drives procurement through standard process.
• Governing and meeting new model launch metrices, score card etc.
• Leading design approval meetings and conducting proto validation to get sign-off from stake holders.
• Independently identifying cost reduction and sustainability opportunities.

• Explains usage of CAD/CAM software in engineering new products.
• Locates useful resources to improve CAD/CAM skills.
• Identifies basic functions and features of a CAD/CAM system.

Manufacturing Application Systems: Knowledge of company and industry databases and applications used in a manufacturing environment; ability to operate, maintain and update these systems.
Level Working Knowledge:
• Uses and maintains information or data stored in specific application; reports unusual situations.
• Documents the major interfaces and dependencies to and from other systems.
• Follows procedures for the maintenance and upkeep of the databases.
• Uses all basic features of the information system in context of own work.
• Works with a specific type of manufacturing application or information system.

Manufacturing Safety: Knowledge of manufacturing safety; ability to identify work-related hazards and perform necessary activities to meet regulatory requirements for the safety and protection of workers, environment and site.
Level Working Knowledge:
• Conducts daily maintenance and keeps tracking logs on safety equipment.
• Responds to first aid and accident situations following standard procedures.
• Inspects manufacturing working environment to find safety violations within a specific area.
• Utilizes personal protective equipment required or recommended for manufacturing staff.
• Determines appropriate action to take when unsafe conditions are encountered.

Packaging: Knowledge of packaging tools, approaches and practices; ability to package products and components safely and attractively.
Level Working Knowledge:
• Assists in packaging machine installation, maintenance and repair work under the direction of senior staff.
• Operates a packaging machine to fulfill a series of packaging tasks according to a company or client's specifications.
• Adheres to the packaging development process and assists in executing key packaging phases.
• Conducts basic packaging testing such as finished package testing, simulated distribution testing, leak testing.
• Produces package specifications for a new product or package.

Troubleshooting Technical Problems: Knowledge of troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques; ability to anticipate, detect and resolve technical problems in a manufacturing environment.
Level Working Knowledge:
• Documents common hardware, software and communications problems and likely resolutions.
• Troubleshoots typical technical problems in a specific area.
• Works with vendor-specific diagnostic guides, tools and utilities to discover application problems.
• Adheres to standard troubleshooting procedures to ensure effectiveness of resolutions.
• Participates in setting evaluation standards and criterion for troubleshooting.
