Shifts Available:
- 1st shift position, Monday - Thursday 6:00am - 4:00pm.
- Starting pay is $19.70/hr.
JOB DUTIES:
- Notifies proper person to replenish and inventory of chemicals for supplies for rack and barrel and plating lines.
- Make necessary analysis, make necessary dumps and additions to plating lines, do daily testing of plating fluids, trouble shoot all plating and water treatment problems as they a arise and correct same.
- Monitor all controls on plating lines, do daily checklist and environmental checks, and check for deterioration of tanks, valves, racks, leaks barrels.
- Perform start-up and shut down of equipment and plating systems.
- Operate barrel line and/or stripping line as time allows.
- Wear proper protective equipment/clothing as required when working with hazardous materials or chemicals.
- Perform general and preventative maintenance on equipment as required.
- Ensure that all Government standards and regulations are met.
- Keep work area, equipment, machines, storage areas, etc. clean and orderly at all times.
- Offer suggestions relative to improving work process, procedures, productivity, job safety, or quality of work environment. Perform other miscellaneous job duties and related functions as directed by Team Lead, Manager or other designated person.
- Notify Team Lead, Manager, Safety Manager, or Environment Manager immediately in the event of a chemical spill or waste treatment upset.
- Perform necessary computer transactions in various computer applications and software programs.
- Must perform as a team member with the willingness and attitude to work with and communicate with others to resolve problems. Must maintain a good working relationship with others within the organizations.
- Work safely at ALL times and comply with safety regulations regarding the use of protective equipment and devices.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Requires the use of shop math together with the use of complicated specifications, charts, and tables.
- Prefer training applicable in specialized field, equivalent to a 1-3 year’s technical training.
- Requires the ability to work independently, using considerable judgment to make broad decisions and with a minimum of supervision.

Summary Pay Range:
$19.70 - $24.60Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
