Job Summary:

Caterpillar’s Information Technology (IT) organization is looking for a Service Delivery Manager to lead the Supplier Relationship Management Program (SRMP) within Caterpillar IT and lead key vendor management activities for specific Caterpillar IT departments.  This position is part of the Vendor Management Office (VMO) and supports IT service owners to deliver the best value third party IT products, services and solutions through improved vendor performance, optimized vendor relationships, contract management and risk management. 
 

What You Will Do:

  • Drive SRMP strategic roadmap based on business needs/objectives.

  • Develop and refine vendor/supplier segmentation frameworks for classifying and prioritizing vendors.

  • Performance metrics/IT controls/SLA/KPI guidelines

  • Facilitate quarterly business review meetings between vendors and business/service owners to optimize value, performance and strategic alignment. 

  • Develop and implement supplier performance evaluation metrics.  Provide contractual expertise in outlining KPIs, deliverable-based milestones and legal ease that protects the best interests of Caterpillar.

  • Collaborate with business/service owners throughout the contract lifecycle to accurately develop contract forecasts and oversee processing of purchase requests for third-party IT spend.

  • Coordinate with Indirect Procurement, business owners and other key functions on sourcing methods, vendor evaluation & selection, negotiating and contract development / management.

  • Engage with business/service owners and vendors to support resolution of high complexity disputes, and other matters requiring a balance of assertiveness, tact, business acumen, and diplomacy.

  • Lead and mentor team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team.

What You Have:

  • Vendor Management: Knowledge of vendor management methodologies, technologies and processes; ability to gain increased value and excellent services from vendors, as well as costs control and risk mitigation throughout the deal life cycle.

  • Relationship Management: Extensive knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.  Experience overseeing key client reviews to assure service and relationship satisfaction.

  • Negotiating: Knowledge of successful negotiation concepts and techniques; ability to negotiate successfully across the organization and with external vendors in a constructive and collaborative manner.

  • Contracts Review: Knowledge of the contractual and legal matters related to expenditures (consulting services, maintenance, agreements, outsourcing, etc.); ability to evaluate, interpret and improve the language used in contractual agreements.  Consult on evaluating and managing contracts in the industry and marketplace.

  • Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to systematically identify stakeholders, analyze their needs and expectations, and implement various tasks to engage with them.

  • Effective Communications: Strong written and verbal communicator; Adapts documents and presentations for the intended audience.

  • The ideal location for this role is East Peoria-IL, Dallas-TX, Nashville-TN

  • MUST BE WILLING TO RELOCATE TO THIS LOCATION AND Work out of the office 3 times a week.

  • This position may require 10% travel.

  • Sponsorship is  not available including OPT, H4-EAD.  Must be US Citizen or Green Card holder.

Summary Pay Range:

$144,960.00 - $217,320.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
