Our Caterpillar Remanufacturing Division currently has openings for Engineering Co-Op positions located in the Corinth, MS or Booneville, MS facility .

CO-OP responsibilities to include but are not limited to:

  • Working with engineering staff to collect data for capital and salvage projects.
  • Ensure the accuracy of existing documentation released to operations including line rates and sequenced procedures.
  • Creating Standard Work for various areas within Operations.
  • Performing capacity analysis studies on production work areas and equipment.
  • Assisting the Continuous Product Improvement group with quality and warranty data analysis.
  • Creating AutoCAD drawings of production tooling.
  • Performing routine duties such as process waste elimination and safety walks.
  • Using 3-D printed proto-types or useable gages and assembly fixtures
     

Employer Expectations:

Rotations will be for:

  • Spring 2026
  • Summer 2026

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be enrolled full time at a 4-year accredited university/college in one of the following degree programs: Industrial
  • Pursuing a degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial & Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Technology 
  • Applicant must be able to work 40 hours per week
  • GPA requirements: cumulative 2.8 minimum GPA
     

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

  • Highly desired skills are the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • The candidate should also have good analytical, computer and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing methodology and auto cad will be valuable.

Hourly rate is based on the major/degree being pursued and the number of completed academic hours achieved before the start of employment.

Summary Pay Range:

$25.00 - $43.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
