As a Senior Strategy Consultant, you will serve as an Aftermarket Services consultant and divisional expert in Resource Industries (RI) where decisions and recommendations are made for strategic advantage and contribute to the division’s business and long-term leadership position. You will collaborate closely with enterprise partners on aftermarket growth strategies, foundational to delivering our customer experience standards and Caterpillar’s Services growth targets. You will be accountable for driving revenue and profitable growth for the Resource Industries Aftermarket Services team.

Manage the five RI Aftermarket Operating Profit after Capital Charge (OPACC) improvement agendas.

Govern the processes by which we track & execute growth.

Provide visibility to the business segments, component organizations, product teams and leadership on RI Aftermarket OPACC projections and progress.

Determine areas of growth opportunity to achieve our Services growth targets.

Facilitate project prioritization discussions with key business partners.

Provide training to business partners on the OPACC agenda, Services New Product Introduction process and New Services Development process.

Provide support to the post-sale parts profitability analysis.

Be responsible for performing other job duties occasionally as assigned based on business need.
What skills you will have:
Strategic Thinking: Experience working in strategy, sales, marketing and/or pricing.
Customer Focus: Knowledge and/or experience working with Cat dealers. Familiarity with machines, components, and systems.
Data Gathering & Analysis: Skilled in the use of analytical tools for lead & opportunity management. Experience in financial analysis.
Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
Effective Communications: Strong communication and presentation skills. Excellent influencing skills. A clear sense of accountability. Strong in initiative. Ability to make complex concepts easy to understand.
Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, business partners and peers. Motivated, a self-starter, able to work autonomously. Excited to work with people from different backgrounds and cultures.
Value Selling: Knowledge of the principles and practices for selling products, technology and services; ability to provide overall product/service 'value' and to differentiate support offerings that address clearly understood customer needs.
Top candidates will also have:
Aftermarket field experience.
Additional Information:
The primary location for this position is Peoria, IL, or Tucson, AZ.
This position may require 20 % travel.
Summary Pay Range:
$123,480.00 - $185,280.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
