As a Senior Commercial consultant, you will have the opportunity to develop and communicate pricing insights to drive business insights while partnering with product, financial and industry teams to guide the execution of dynamic and differentiated pricing strategies that align with product and enterprise goals for revenue and profitability.

What you will do:

  • Analyzes, interprets and communicates a wide variety of data (economic and competitive environment, revenue and profitability, and historical forecasted sales, prices, discounts and price realization) to draw business insights and recommend actions to maximize sales and profitability through the price plan process and ongoing price realization management across the Energy and Transportation segment.
  • Provides oversight and collaboration for E&T pricing governance and compliance activities including coordination of monthly compliance meeting and support of SOX and audit initiatives
  • Provides thought leadership to key stakeholders in the development of pricing strategies for new and existing products and services
  • Executes strategic and tactical price action within a robust pricing governance framework to implement future price changes
  • Leverages analytics and technologies to enable price management reporting to provide forward looking price expectations and forecasting
  • Management of the E&T price plan and material driving timelines, communication and pricing recommendations
  • Project management on pricing and or commercial initiatives that cross E&T segments
  • Manages pricing competitive intelligence process to collect, analyze, and communicate key competitive intelligence findings for pricing business partners and key decision makers

What you will have:

Education/Experience:   The position typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree and +5 years of related experience

  • Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective manner to reach a conclusion, goal, or judgment.
  • Contributes to and publishes internal documents on the results of the analyzed data.
  • Designs new data analysis tools to increase data processing effectiveness.
  • Predicts the directions and trends of data gathering and analysis in the market.

  • Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions. Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
  • Facilitates creation of the 'right' products and services to resolve customer business issues.
  • Fosters strong customer relationships via delivery on commitments, open communication, and on-going feedback/improvement.
  • Advises others on creating customer focused environments in various scenarios.
  • Anticipates customer needs, focusing efforts to proactively meet needs and exceed customer expectations.
  • Communicates and models the criticality of customer focus as an organizational strategy.

  • Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors. Communicates the importance of customer needs/expectations and commits to resolving them.

  • Monitors developments in communications tools for potential use by organization.
  • Ensures important messages are clearly understood.
