The Opportunity :

Job Location: Peoria, IL or Irving, TX

An exciting opportunity exists to join Caterpillar’s Compliance and Regulatory legal team. Successful candidates will be process driven, have an interest legal compliance, and have an interest in gaining experience in multiple legal fields.

The positions will help support the attorneys across the fair competition (anti-trust), data privacy, and anti-bribery legal areas. This role will require gaining a familiarity with the legal requirements within each area and develop relationships throughout legal services and within the business units to assist the attorneys to identify and respond to legal risk.  Tasks will include managing mergers and acquisitions clean teams, updating internal guidance documents, managing the trade association tracking process, assisting with the preparation of external information requests , and general matter management.    

Basic Qualifications:

• Four (4) year university or college degree OR  3-6 years of legal experience

• Paralegal certificate

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Top Candidates will also have:

• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Be highly proficient in using the O365 suite of tools (SharePoint, Teams, Forms, Excel, etc.)
