We’re looking for a Senior Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis (internally known as Business Support Manager) to join our team supporting the Hydraulic Mining Shovel (HMS) Product group as part of the Resource Industries Operations and Products (RIOP) division at Caterpillar in Tucson, AZ or Peoria, IL
As the Business Support Manager, you will have the opportunity for leading the financial and business support for the HMS business. You will develop essential business information and provide counsel to management for all business, management reporting, NPI financial support, manufacturing footprint & product sourcing strategies, and product costing. This position interacts with and presents to senior leadership as well as the many internal customers within Caterpillar. Reporting directly to the position are two management accountants.
What You Will Do:
Managing all aspects of monthly financial reporting & analysis for the product group team
- Lead the development of the product group’s financial planning and Analysis including routine monthly accountable and legal entity results, financial forecasting, profitability improvement initiatives, product cost reporting & analysis; research and development reporting & analysis; investment analysis including NPI and sourcing decisions as well as many ad hoc analysis requests from Corporate, and Product management.
- Participate in strategy development to drive improved financial performance and facilitate strategic business unit planning for upper-level management including facility manager, Product Value Stream Manager, Vice President of Tracked Products and Division CFO.
- Develop the best team through coaching, training & development, and career planning.
What You Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in an Accounting, Finance or related discipline
- 8-10 years of progressively responsible job-related experience
- Strong communications skills with a passion for asking questions and driving improvements
- Desire to develop and grow your career within a Fortune 100 company
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
- Product group support and/or operations experience
- Operating and Execution (O&E) experience
- Strong background in accounting, cost accounting, investment analysis, and budget development
- Strong analytical skills are required to perform detailed financial analysis and strategic plans
- Excellent interpersonal skills are required in order to deal with sensitive issues, develop others, or persuade others inside and outside the department to take specific actions
- Prior leadership experience
