Job Title: eCommerce Solution Lead
Salary: £54,000 - £63,000
Location : Peterborough, UK
Benefits: 25 days annual leave,
12% bonus
Contributory pension scheme- Caterpillar will double the employee's contribution Up to 10%

Job Opportunity:
Delivering a superior customer experience is critical for our customers and enables enterprise services growth. In support of this goal, this role will deliver and ensure ongoing excellence in eCommerce solutions for Perkins customers and distributors by partnering with product and service owners along with solution delivery partners.
As the eCommerce Solution Lead, you will ensure solutions are meeting customer requirements aligned with solution architecture guiding principles.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:

Design, develop, and implement solutions on the Salesforce Commerce and related platforms based on requirements gathered from customers, that consider system performance, usability, quality, cross-system interdependencies, security, and scalability.

Provides application/technical leadership, guidance, and assistance to other team members including the reviews of functional and technical designs to identify areas of risk and/or missing requirements.

Use data to assist with all decision-making and feed data into the strategic roadmap.

Work effectively with delivery partners as needed to achieve results.

Integrate with backend systems and partner teams to ensure the platform provides needed functionality and service.

Perform software testing for accuracy, integrity, interoperability, and completeness.

Support internal customers and distributors with new product introduction and end-to-end software testing.

Work closely with Salesforce Security & Governance team to harden Salesforce Org to comply with Caterpillar’s Technical Security Baseline, ensuring IT controls and compliance.
The Successful Applicant:
-
Understanding of eCommerce key functions and able to show knowledge of an IT solution that supports developing capabilities through both Business to Business and Business to Customer routes.

Agile methods of working.

Able to demonstrate understanding of the Salesforce core platform and data models.

Demonstrate a knowledge of the key fundamentals of commerce, ideally using Salesforce Commerce Cloud, or equivalent.

Comfortable demonstrating leadership attributes and decision making.
Skills and Experience:
-
Degree in Computer Information Systems, related field, or equivalent industry experience.

Experience in analysing business problems and translating business requirements into technology solutions.
Candidates will have gained the following skills and experience through previous roles:
-
Level 3 support and build of an ecommerce platform.
-
Commerce Cloud expert with Salesforce development experience.

Strong verbal and written communication for working in a complex organization.
-
Passion for technology and an eagerness to contribute to a team-oriented environment.

Demonstrated leadership on medium to large-scale projects impacting strategic priorities.

Experience working with an onshore/offshore team model.
Candidates may have gained the following skills and experience through previous roles:

Other Salesforce certifications.
