Description:
At the Caterpillar facility in Wamego, Kansas, we take pride in working together to safely build quality attachments that enhance the productivity and utility of Caterpillar machines, equipping them for a wide range of tasks and operating requirements. As a Manufacturing Technician (known internally as a Manufacturing Specialist) at Caterpillar’s Wamego, Kansas facility, you will perform a variety of processes using varied machines and/or hand tools.
Basic Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
- Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Ability to work a regular schedule where daily attendance and punctuality are required
- Ability to safely perform work accurately and thoroughly
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods, performing repetitive work
- Ability to produce quality work at a sustained pace
- Demonstrates ability to work in a team environment and work effectively with people regardless of age, gender, race, religion or job type
- Demonstrates ability to follow directions and standard work
- Available to work from 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. during the introductory training period
Top candidate will have:
- Previous warehouse or material handling experince
STARTING PAY RATE- 1st Shift: $16.54
STARTING PAY RATE- 2nd Shift: $17.70
(*Hourly rate is $16.54 with a 7% night shift premium when working 2nd shift hours.)
1st Shift HOURS: 5:00AM-3:30PM, M-TH
2nd Shift HOURS: 3:30PM-2:00AM, M-TH
(*Overtime on Friday based on business need)
Shift availability is dependent on business need.
New Hire Bonus of $500
(*Pays $250 after 60 days successful performance and an additional $250 after 6 months of successful performance)
