As a Project Manager – Electric Power/Genset, you will be responsible to align, lead, plan and manage resources for implementing major Electric Power/Genset projects. This role own and manage input to the Implementation Project Plan; balancing trade-offs to maintain enterprise perspective and customer focus while planning and executing activities supporting the project implantation.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may Include, but are not limited to: 

  • Manage overall project and program scheduling and activity

  • Schedule and facilitate meetings as necessary. Document activities and issues that surface in the meetings and distribute this to internal and external team members.

  • Assure the timely creation of key implementation documentation

  • Drive continuous improvement in the efficiency by identifying and recommending new approaches, policies, and standard operating procedures.

  • Resolves internal issues by assuming ownership of problems, strategizing with affected departments, and selecting and implementing solutions.

  • Understand the project technical and commercial requirements, local conditions, statutory requirements

  • Execute project schedule, project costing, and manage document control

  • Collaborate with dealers in managing customer change orders, facilitating the project team in making sound technical and commercial assessments and decisions

  • Develop the risk identification and risk mitigation strategies, jointly working with team members and dealers on projects

  • Practice and manage regular communications and reporting with team members, dealers, customers, and management.  Communicate.  With excellence.  No matter how challenging that may be!

  • Leverage functional area leaders and team members alike to solve business problems to ensure project objectives and requirements are met

  • Institutionalize process excellence and lessons learned disciplines by conducting ‘lessons learned’ meeting(s) with all functional area leaders and responsible dealer after system turnover to end user

  • Escort customer visits, witness tests, and inspections

Required Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 3+ years of job-related experience

  • Progressive experience in new product development process, stage gates and planning

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to deliver on time and on plan.

  • Excellent written, oral, presentation and influencing skills.

  • High level of curiosity and investigative mindset with attention to detail.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to take initiative and drive creative ideas forward.

  • Ability to thrive and adapt in a high growth, rapidly changing environment

  • Passion for collaboration and ability to align multiple stakeholders

Top Candidates Will Have:

  • PMP Certification

  • Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI)

  • Customer facing negotiation experience

Travel:

  • Up to 10%
