As a Design Engineer working on market leading, world class products you will be responsible for the design of components and assemblies on our Compact Wheel Loaders. You will demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and determination to investigate and resolve design, build and test issues while maintaining high quality standards in both design and component detailing, ensuring designs are validated in real-world applications to meet functional and technical requirements. You will join the global technical team responsible for new product designs for next generation Compact Wheel Loaders located within the Building Construction Products Division in Desford, UK.
What you will do:
Concept through to detailed design of new and innovative solutions which are validated to meet functional and technical requirements.
Active participation in design reviews and FMEA sessions.
Collaboration with global teams and suppliers to deliver new designs to production which meet manufacturing, assembly, cost and quality requirements.
Investigation and development of solutions to issues arising from build and validation.
Working with technical resources and suppliers to rapidly implement design changes.
Management of engineering changes through life cycle management.

Bachelor’s Engineering Degree or HND with experience (or international equivalent).
Demonstrated experience in design, analysis and development of components and systems, such as hydraulic lines, light fabrications, castings and non-metallics.
Thorough working knowledge of solid modelling (ideally CREO) and engineering data management applications (ideally Teamcenter).
Proficiency with Microsoft applications.
Knowledge of engineering standards, processes and design tools.
Experience applying geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
Innovative problem solving and strong analytical skills.
Demonstrated initiative and ability to self-start tasks.
Ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment and provide work direction to members of the team.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
Top candidates will also have:
Master’s Engineering Degree (or international equivalent).
Design, analysis, development and application experience with small and compact construction equipment, preferably wheel loaders.
Experience operating mobile construction equipment.

Salary: £43,600 - £53,000 depending on experience
