Job Description

As Supply Chain Solutions Owner,  you will support enterprise growth through representing and/or deploying a set of Caterpillar’s world-class eBusiness solutions with our enterprise, industry, and/or Dealer partners. Build a strong understanding of the marketing and business objectives of multiple business units, industry groups, Dealers, and/or Suppliers and facilitate how, when and where capabilities can be best utilized to drive value.

Job Duties:

Apply industry knowledge while consulting with Caterpillar dealers and other various industry partners on process leadership including, documenting and management of business processes, communicating standards, and training/ deployment of process / digital solutions to users within Caterpillar and external partners.

Works with appropriate business units, industry groups, and/or Dealer contacts to manage and govern a portfolio of diverse projects, develop and continuously improve / transformational change of enterprise tools, processes, and strategies.

Interacts extensively with a diverse team including digital team members, data owners and analytics team members to understand the appropriate capabilities, integration points, and deployment status as well as provide business requirements back into the department. 

Drives proper collaboration, coordination, training, communication, and alignment among related areas, projects, and strategies within the team and with internal and/or Dealer partners. 

Drives and builds awareness of department strategy and processes/digital solutions through communication with a diverse group of users including executive management.
Drives efforts related to future-focused assessment of global and industry impact related to digital programs and deployments and helps provide direction.
Assists appropriate industry groups and/or Dealers identify issues and problems requiring careful analysis and coordinates efforts to provide solutions. 
Interacts and gains experience with digital capabilities to develop strong digital acumen to communicate with partners and stakeholders.
Tracks and monitors progress, typically via metrics reporting. 

Basic Qualifications:

Four-year Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

8+ years of experience in the supply chain, digital transformation, or project management.

Top Candidates will also have:

Previous 6 Sigma Greenbelt/Black Belt experience.

Expertise in the industries that Caterpillar serves.
Experience leading transformational initiatives with proven results within large organizations, in adopting digital and business process transformation / continuous process improvements.
Experience in supply chain planning and management with knowledge of current digital capabilities and a basic understanding of the integration points.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to interact across all levels of the organization from team members to executive management are required. 
This position requires strong skills in working with people from different backgrounds and cultures, internally and externally, and the ability to influence and resolve differences and issues. 
The work environment requires this position to adapt quickly to high velocity and change. 
Project and program management, including communication and change management planning, is also required.

The primary location for this position is Peoria, IL, Dallas, TX, Chicago, IL, or Tucson, AZ.

Relocation assistance is available for this position.

This position may require up to 30 - 40 % travel.
