Job Description:

Job Title: EHS Technician

Salary:  £25,000 - £28,000 (Depending on Experience)

Location : Larne, Northern Ireland       

Benefits:  25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays   

                 9%  bonus

                 Contributory pension scheme - Caterpillar will double the employee's contribution up to 6%

                 Contributory share scheme- Caterpillar will match 50% of the employee's contribution

                 CAT Advantage (Retail Discount Scheme)

Job Opportunity:

Reporting to the Environment, Health & Safety Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Environment, Health, Safety & Training Department at the Caterpillar Larne facility.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Performs inspections and tests planned to monitor specific EHS issues, regulations, and company practices

  • Administrative support including tracking technical training programmes

  • Collecting and evaluating data

  • Assisting in developing solutions

  • Performing basic training

  • Supporting onsite management systems including maintenance of records, document control, etc

Skills and Experience:

Candidates will have gained the following skills and experience through previous roles:

  • Good communication skills

  • Computer literate

  • Good analytical skills

Candidates may have gained the following skills and experience through previous roles:

  • Previous experience of ISO14001 would be beneficial

  • Previous experience within a manufacturing environment

  • Previous EHS experience
