You are a technical application support anaylst with a history of identifying and analysing real world problems. You will be an out of the box thinker who is happy working on a variety of problems. You are a self-starter who enjoys seeing a solution through to completion. Happy to balance work between your home and the office. You take pride in the quality of your work and enjoy collaborating with the wider team and customers to help create the best solution possible. You will learn a unique skill set that spans the standard IT world (desktop, servers, database, network, and more) with Caterpillars Mining Technology solutions and our technology partners. You will add your unique experiences to our global support community to improve our processes while expanding your own global awareness. You enjoy occasional trips to site and enjoy watching a solution achieve its objective for our customers.

Job Duties:

• Provide world-class customer service for MineStar hardware and software.
• Advocate on behalf of the dealer and customer to resolve product issues.
• Create strong relationships with customers and dealers in your region.
• Provide rotational hotline coverage for MineStar Products.
• Resolving a high percentage of issues, and prompt escalation to advanced support when a quick resolution cannot be obtained.
• Troubleshoot an entire ecosystem from simple sensors on machines > onboard control units > onboard displays > network transfers > application server.

Basic Qualifications:

• High school certificate or equivalent.
• PC Technical skills.
• 1+ years of experience investigating, troubleshooting, and diagnosing application and technical problems.

Top Candidates may also have:

• Ability to learn complex software and hardware interactions.
• Mining industry experience.
• Customer support experience such as in a call center or helpdesk environment.
• Moderate level of knowledge in information technologies.
• Experience in Virtualization, Basic TCP/IP Networking, Database fundamentals
• Mechanical or electrical engineering experience.
• Troubleshooting or analytical mindset

Additional information:

• The location for this position is Brisbane, QLD or Perth, WA.
• Domestic relocation assistance is not available.
• This position may require 10 % travel.
• ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS - This position requires open pit and underground mine site support work at times.
• This team is responsible for 24/7/365 coverage, this will require non-standard shifts and weekend coverage on rotation.
• Sponsorship is not available.
