As a Communications Representative III, you will own the development and execution of the Resource Industries Services Communications Strategy with a target audience of ~30,000 employees. Through the use of strategic communications, rally Caterpillar employees and Dealers around providing integrated, holistic solutions, with a heavy emphasis on Aftermarket services and site performance management, to Caterpillar customers.

What you will do:

  • Serve as the communications lead and primary consultant for the RI Aftermarket Solutions teams.

  • Interface across all of Caterpillar to align Services Communications and support the broader Caterpillar Services Communication strategy.

  • Support and execute the Resource Industries Sales, Services, and Technology communication strategy through the development of videos, presentations, manager toolkits, news articles, and leader talking points.

  • Liaise with the services marketing team to ensure alignment, and repurpose materials as necessary.

  • Support external events through executive presentation development.

  • Partner and consult with the Resource Industries Chief of Staff and Aftermarket Solutions Vice President as needed.

  • Create and develop communications to support dealer communications channels.

  • Partner with other communicators to elevate and promote communications at a segment or enterprise level.

  • Provide insight and counsel on external communications, such as marketing material and press releases.

What you have:

College or university degree in communications or equivalent experience.

5 years of job-related experience in marketing, corporate communication, public relations,  or journalism.

Ability to influence and coach executive-level leaders.

Superior writing skills.

Knowledge of Caterpillar policies, practices, and procedures.

Knowledge and understanding of employee communications methodologies, tools, and vehicles.

Strong listening and interpersonal skills.

Ability to translate complex information.

Superior organization and program management skills.

Self-starter who can get stuff done: multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.

Ability to work well in a team and as an individual contributor.

Knowledge of global and diverse workforces.

Highly skilled in social media and social media practices.

Adept with the use of Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint.

Adobe Suite knowledge with knowledge of video editing and graphic design techniques.

Poppulo experience is a plus.

The location for this position is Tucson, AZ, or Peoria, IL.

This position may require 10% travel.
