As a Sustainability intern, you will have the opportunity to execute and influence exciting projects, such as evaluating and developing climate disclosure strategies, understanding investor ratings of our sustainability performance and promoting sustainability messaging to increase employee engagement. Our team works closely with our internal leadership to develop and implement sustainability/ESG strategies and meet objectives. Your internship will culminate in a presentation of work to leaders.
Session Availability:
Summer 2023: May 15, 2023, to August 4, 2023
This is a 40-hour-per-week assignment, Monday through Friday, lasting 12 weeks in the summer
Locations: Peoria, Illinois
Basic Qualifications
- Must be enrolled full time at a 4-year accredited university/college in one of the following degree programs: Sustainability, Environmental Economics and Policy
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8/4.0 (no rounding)
- Expected graduation date December 2023 and beyond
- 12 completed semester hours at a 4-year university prior to start of internship or currently participating in a Caterpillar student program
Top Candidates will also have
- Leadership Experience or Skills, particularly in sustainability-related areas
- Relevant internship or work experience in functional field or demonstrated eager to immerse in directed research
- Ability to work with minimal to modest supervision
- Excellent written communications skills; PowerPoint, Word and Excel skills well-developed
- Ability to articulate analytical data and summarize for executive or leadership readers
