About SPM Oil and Gas

SPM Oil and Gas provides superior products and service solutions to Oil & Gas customers in upstream, production, transportation, refining and related industries.  The team works hard to create lifelong customer relationships, supplying comprehensive product & service solutions for the Oil & Gas industry and setting the standard for excellence in the segment.

The SPM Oil & Gas Division currently has an opening for a Scheduler located in Fort Worth, Texas. As a Scheduler at SPM Oil & Gas, you will plan production schedules for manufacture of pump products.

Job Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist and support other scheduling personnel in the correct methods and procedures for use in establishing and maintaining production machining schedules which includes preparing scheduling charts, determining when and how to expedite urgently needed material, issuing production routings (work orders), etc.

  • Assist in maintaining schedules, gaining credibility for scheduling recommendations, expediting material, etc. and reviews charts, purchase requisitions and production routings to ensure timely, complete and accurate information and reporting.

  • Establish and alert others of interplant requirements

  • Regulate individuals work loads and discusses progress of employees work, problems encountered. etc. with supervisor, as requested, and recommends appropriate changes to correct problems.

  • Review current scheduling methods and procedures, considers recurring problems, develops or suggests improved methods and procedures and updates the factory scheduling manual as necessary.

  • Plan workflow for resource group in line with available capacity to customer requirements, safety stock requirements, and forecast requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in or equivalent knowledge of Materials Scheduling, Inventory Control, Purchasing and the various related data processing systems

  • Effective oral and written communication skills, training knowledge and the ability to work with all levels of personnel

  • Knowledge of MS Office (Excel specifically) applications
