  • Responsible for leadership and employee engagement of the industry field reps, typically consisting of sales, application, service and/or product support.
  • Plan, execute and deliver with the field sales team and dealers the Go-to-Market activities to meet/exceed Business Plan (PINS, Sales, Yield) targets for Purpose Build Machines and Caterpillar Work tools sold into the industry segments
  • Responsible for “selling the house” (integrated Caterpillar solutions) and assist in merchandising dealer service
  • Reporting the monthly demand review for sales & operational planning (S&OP) of purpose build machines and work tool families upon dealer sales funnel management and machine forecast.
  • Manages Sales Variance Funds and Merchandising tactics for Machines & Work Tools. The responsibilities include Price Realization for these disciplines. 
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through management of product and commercial issues
  • Report on competitive activities including machine & work tools competitive pricing (Lost Sales Reporting).
  • Develop relevant reports on trends required to support necessary Business Reviews.
  • Training and development of the district sales and service staff; sets objectives, establishes standards of performance, and evaluates district staff performance; sales forecasts, objectives, work plans, and budgets


  • Thorough knowledge of company products and product applications, merchandising programs, and/or warranty practices and procedures. 
  • Broad company knowledge and strong understanding of dealers as well as customers is also required. 
  • College or university degree or equivalent experience. 
  • 8 to 12 years as an individual contributor and previous field experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are required in order to deal with sensitive issues, develop others, or persuade others inside and outside the department to take specific action.

  • Operating Budget $1M (Labor)
  • Marketing/Go-to-Market for Industry Segments & Work Tools business representing 500M$
  • Industry Segment Definition: Demolition & Recycling, Waste Management, Scrap, Ports, Industrial Processing
  • Product Definition: Cat Work Tools, HEXWH Material Handlers, HEXLG Demolition machines (UHD/SB), Landfill Compactors, EMD Purpose Designed Industrial Packages
  • Region: Europe (75% of EAME volume)
  • Total Employees up to 7 (all direct reports)
