3rd Shift Fabrications Support 1- $18.66 Starting Pay Pay with 8% Shift Premium

Under general supervision, provides fabrications support activities including loading robots and ensuring cleanliness of the area. Position will utilize tooling, fixtures, handling systems, safety, quality checks and other duties as assigned. Typically reports to a Section Manager.

Job Description

  • May rotate to various positions within the Job Function are to perform related activities
  • Follow and utilizes CPS principles of 5S, Continuous Improvement Idea Reporting Waste Elimination, and Standard Work
  • Maintain Fabrications area in a clean and orderly condition
  • May be required to operate walk-behind or ride-on sweepers
  • Follows documented procedures, standard work, routings and blueprints
  • Must have effective communication skills
  • Be a contributing team member
  • Job duties may include the following:
  • Load and position heavy fabrication metal component in machining fixtures using lifting devices
  • Initial set-up and operation of CNC and/or robot welding machines
  • Assist Machinists in robot processes
  • Ability to learn and follow welding and/or machinist standard processes and procedures
  • Basic robot maintenance including but not limited to, clearing faults, resetting the robot, replacing weld tips, restringing weld wire and rehoming the robot.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Some experience with Overhead Hoists and Overhead Cranes
  • Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):
  • Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods
  • Ability to perform repetitive operation
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.

Top candidates will also have:

  • Intermediate proficiency (Basic skills/knowledge. Capable of functioning independently) in standard work
  • Material handling experience
  • At least one year of manufacturing experience
  • Robotic welding machine experience
