Join the Aftermarket Sales & Opportunity management team of Cat Digital and be responsible for providing application and technical leadership, overseeing the activities of a small group of analysts for the development and support of Transformation projects of STU/OLGA/Jupiter.  The Digital Analyst Project Leader contributes to the application deliverables by leading and managing project teams comprised of digital analysts and product owners tasked with developing or supporting the low to medium complexity applications they are leading. 


Leads applications that are small to moderate in size and complexity

Leads teams of less than three people


The Digital Analytics Project Leader will have the responsibility to ensure that the requests coming to the application team are prioritized and managed to deliver on the multiple projects that are making requests while ensuring the application maintains the highest quality.  Some Digital Analytics project leaders may perform Application Architect responsibilities as well depending on their level of expertise in the application and the complexity of the application with the other tasks they are also responsible for.

  • Responsible to lead applications projects and prioritize incoming requests for the team
  • Attend project meetings representing the team and providing subject matter expertise for those
  • Provides application/technical leadership, guidance, and assistance to other team members including participating in the reviews of functional and technical designs to identify areas of risk and/or missing requirements.
  • Create and provide team metrics and reporting on the various activities occurring within the application
  • Communicate applications changes to various stakeholders and represent the team’s status back to the various projects requesting work.
  • Coordinate integrated testing and customer acceptance testing of components that requires careful planning and execution to ensure timely, quality results.
  • Escalate and resolve issues that the team encounters that may prohibit their success.  This could be to a variety of different roles.  It may be to a project manager that requires work from the team, or other leaders.
  • Assists customers with documentation, training and usability efforts.
  • Be the liaison for the team for Integrates processes across functional organizations.
  • Participate in technology evaluation and recommendations.
  • Participate in the development and alignment of the IT roadmaps to IT and Business strategy.
  • Make assignments to the team for the various requests that have been prioritized.
  • In situations where purchased software is involved, this position will assist the team and the leadership involved with any vendor management issues.  This position may be assigned vendor management work from the supervisor in writing statements of work or processing license or support purchases or renewals.
  • This person may participate in or be responsible for developing operational level agreements or service level agreements and for the metrics required for those agreements.

Typical internal customers include employees within multiple business processes or functions. In addition, this person may have direct relationships with IT Supervisors, IT Managers, and, in some cases, Directors.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (analytics, technical, IT, physics, etc)
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience
  • Basic knowledge of SQL
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Project management experience

Top Candidates will also have:

  • 1+ years of experience in design and prototyping dynamic views and visualizations for large and complex data sets in Tableau and/or Power BI
  • Working knowledge of one or more programming languages
  • Good communication skills
  • Self-starter and driven while working well in team environment 
  • Create innovative solutions to solve business problems
  • Strong attention to detail in order to spot inaccuracies in coding or data
  • Experience with data structures using SQL
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, DevOps, Excel, Alteryx, Snowflake is a plus
  • Knowledge of Aftermarket dataset such as CDDW data, STU, OLGA and/or Jupiter is a plus
  • Experience in a dealer facing role is a plus

Additional Details:

This position has the option to be based out of either our Chicago, IL or Peoria, IL offices with flexibility for partial work from home.
